Ogunbowale pulled her name out from the USA 2024 Olympic Selection committee. She stated that she did that due to the politics involved in the selection committee. Nneke Ogwumike also played an outstanding game for the WNBA and she has also never been selected for the US National team. The US National team is a clique and just has strong bias towards certain players regardless of whether or not it represents the best team that the US can field for the Olympics. Shameful. Here’s the simple deal - the young WNBA stars RAN THE OLD GEEZERZ OUT OF THE GYM. Not much more complicated than that, although Ionescue was pretty awesome and did keep up. That’s my take on it. They couldn’t double Ogunbowale because Clark and Reese were on the court, plus Mitchell took it to them with several easy layups. The difference in passing when Clark was on the court versus when she wasn’t on the court was eye opening. Clark brings movement, Reese brings tenacity and rebounds under the basket. The BEST USA team just beat the USA Olympic team and I think they would do it 7 out of 10 times. Gray was also an important piece. The Olympic Team played much better than the WNBA team in the first half but only led by 2 and they looked gassed.

Clark and Reese worked together like professionals!! Finally, they shined and showed the world who THEY were … but the coaches definitely tried to keep them from playing… even sitting on the bench they were the BEST TEAM PLAYERS.
@anonimous24512 ай бұрын
And this should be noted that Reese was in the sweet 16 at LSU AND #3 vs Iowa @ #2 with Clark. Iowa (and specifically Clark) had a breakout game and humbled LSU and sent them home before advancing to the Finals. But, Clark the consummate professional, had a 1 on 1 conversation with Reese and asked her to put aside their in the heat of battle moment and focus on the CURRENT situation, and they both did exactly that, with the rising stock of a new rookie that won the MVP. The fact the TEAM USA was out of sync, reluctant to be flexible with game situations, shows us exactly who Coach Reeves is, an old turtle so stuck in her ways and her attitude of she's right and everyone else is wrong shows us exactly where the Team USA Women's B-ball team will land in the Olympics, not even on the platform at all. Perhaps THEN the Minnesota Team will be seeking a new coach too cause she is clearly out of her abilities to Coach ..... she is a pious loser.
