Ogunbowale pulled her name out from the USA 2024 Olympic Selection committee. She stated that she did that due to the politics involved in the selection committee. Nneke Ogwumike also played an outstanding game for the WNBA and she has also never been selected for the US National team. The US National team is a clique and just has strong bias towards certain players regardless of whether or not it represents the best team that the US can field for the Olympics. Shameful. Congratulations to the WNBA team. They played like it was their gold medal game. They were simply NOT going to lose.

@simonhowell4486
@simonhowell4486 2 ай бұрын
@@AnthonyBrown-ku5xl None of that is it. None. It is simply, at that moment, the ladies hadn't earned their spot. Reese wasn't the double-double machine we know her to be. And Caitlyn wasn't playing like Steph Stockton. Remember she was struggling. It was talk about the end of the college season, the draft, and the start of the WNBA season were too close together. Personally I would have brought them both for marketing purposes, but o'well. Of course hindsight is always 20/20, but USA Woman's Olympic basketball is still in good hands. They have been dominating the world for the last millenia. Trust and believe, NO other team in the Olympics has the talent the WNBA All-stars do. This will be another cakewalk for the ladies, the bigger story is the competition the men are facing

@@martintrejo1950 Explain how does ones sexuality ruin "that"? What is that anyway? The is, has been, and always will be the WNBA's problem; people like you who are more concerned about what these woman do behind closed doors, instead of what they're doing on the court. What if CC was gay? What if Angel was gay? It shouldn't matter, but it's what drives the WNBA's marketing instead of just basketball. DeBoer has also gotten a reputation as being a bit of a headache to deal with as a coach, and hasn't shown consistency in the playoffs as such, but I don't think I've heard anyone talking bad about him out of Dallas. It's strategic to not show off Team USAs offensive sets to the entire world during an internationally televised scrimmage lol The men's team is barely winning against South Sudan in their exhibitions because they are doing the same thing. There is no second guessing not adding Clark to the Olympic team, Says Reeves. Then Reeves proceeds to have her team guard Caitlin for 94 feet. Double Team, triple Team, Trangle and two, deny Caitlin the ball when ever they could, and set her entire defense's priority on stopping Caitlin... In an all-star game. Some of the greatest WNBA players and Caitlin was the focus of Reeve's Defense... Actions speak louder than words.

Here’s the simple deal - the young WNBA stars RAN THE OLD GEEZERZ OUT OF THE GYM. Not much more complicated than that, although Ionescue was pretty awesome and did keep up. That’s my take on it. They couldn’t double Ogunbowale because Clark and Reese were on the court, plus Mitchell took it to them with several easy layups. The difference in passing when Clark was on the court versus when she wasn’t on the court was eye opening. Clark brings movement, Reese brings tenacity and rebounds under the basket. The BEST USA team just beat the USA Olympic team and I think they would do it 7 out of 10 times. Gray was also an important piece. The Olympic Team played much better than the WNBA team in the first half but only led by 2 and they looked gassed.

@anonimous2451

And this should be noted that Reese was in the sweet 16 at LSU AND #3 vs Iowa @ #2 with Clark. Iowa (and specifically Clark) had a breakout game and humbled LSU and sent them home before advancing to the Finals. But, Clark the consummate professional, had a 1 on 1 conversation with Reese and asked her to put aside their in the heat of battle moment and focus on the CURRENT situation, and they both did exactly that, with the rising stock of a new rookie that won the MVP. The fact the TEAM USA was out of sync, reluctant to be flexible with game situations, shows us exactly who Coach Reeves is, an old turtle so stuck in her ways and her attitude of she's right and everyone else is wrong shows us exactly where the Team USA Women's B-ball team will land in the Olympics, not even on the platform at all. Perhaps THEN the Minnesota Team will be seeking a new coach too cause she is clearly out of her abilities to Coach ..... she is a pious loser.

Clark represents a change in style - these old guard coaches are not equipped for this change - they have recruited to an old style of play, type of player, etc. The new crop playing fluid, fast, adaptable just beat them pretty handily with a single days practice. The WNBA has been doing things a certain way for almost 30 years and change is hard

She did not break the assist record, the assist record is 11. Plus, why are we even talking Catlin, her game was mediocre. Shouldn't we be talking about Arike Ogunbowale instead, she's the one who dominated the game lol 😂

@nancismith7705 two things can be true at the same time. Brittany didn't deserve to be stuck in a Russian prison for 20 years any more than any other American over there (unless they did something truly heinous). Weed possession isn't a heinous crime, so the fact that you'd wish her to still be there just shows what a truly evil person you are. Maybe pray to God about that. He'll probably ask you about that if you're lucky enough to get to heaven with your evil soul
