Now there are a lot more guys with the punching force of Kermit Washington. Hence, taunting rules are a good prophylactic measure. I used to watch Women's College Basketball because it was so technical in the way they played. That was during the days of the late great Pat Summit who wouldn't let there be anything that could be considered taunting from her players without her stepping in. These days they act like the men's teams where it's all about acting like fools. There is trash talk between the players back in the day from the like of MJ, Magic, Bird but that was all on the court and between them and the one guarding them. Now we have babies who can't handle trash talk from fans and have them kicked out of the games.

I'm a Paige fan, but what the heck did this kid do? A BS call to me. Admittedly Clarke does a bunch of stuff on the court I'm not a fan of, but this ain't one of them. However, on the next possession the ref left Clarke get away with a push off and Clarke got an open look for a 3. That's the stuff that I'm not a fan of. The things that Paige doesn't need to do in order to be a higher percentage shooter.

@helgar791
@helgar791 2 жыл бұрын
@@bertjones3010 100% true. Unfortunately whining isn't something new to her game. It's been a clear part since her first college game. She whines about calls, about how her coach calls the game, and how the defense plays against her, especially if the opposing player(s) make her day difficult. She also gets real huffy with her coach and her body language when her team mates miss shots is always bad. Clark also thinks playing defense is optional. Now Paige smartly does differently. She's always in the refs ear trying to cajole the refs or womansplain her case, because of course she's never committed a foul. But Paige also objects to calls against her team mates as well. Even as a freshman. Her body language never changes when things don't go her way, she never whines about the defenses against her and never objects to how her coach calls the game. Paige will also never keep shooting to make sure she hits 20 points, and if her game is off she actually gets a bit gun shy. Paige also takes defense very seriously.
