Professional sports exist to provide entertainment and the revenue they produce is directly proportional to the entertainment value the public perceives. It has nothing at all to do with fairness or equity or what they “deserve”. The WNBA is setting attendance and viewer records this year precisely because their product became more entertaining, and that is mostly attributable to one rookie that generated excitement and broke records during college. Should the WNBA players make more money? Absolutely if this growth is sustainable. It took years and years for the major professional leagues to be able to offer gargantuan salaries to players. Hopefully the WNBA players will see a significant raise over the next few years.

It's Sides......she is garbage and controls what CC does......and Sides and Dunn need fired. CC's body language has not been the same since she started playing with the Fever. Sides and Dunn must be fired. Sides wants to be the center of the attention. She's awful to the players, especially CC, in the press conferences. To get paid more a consistent higher attendance is needed with more players worth watching along with a longer season. Just because CC brings in crowds it's not enough to justify higher pay for low average attendance. With expansion over the next few years the league will have more average players. Where are these players for 2 new teams coming from the talent pool is shallow without overseas contracts. Seems to be alot of hype I hope it works out because without talent no crowds to pay the bills

@johnnealon8570 This could be a possibility when the WNBA signs that lucrative TV contract deal next year. Attendance is up, thanks to Caitlin Clark. Ticket sales have doubled in price. So that means that the WNBA best players could possibly make up to $500,000 per year. It just takes a little more time to make it happen.
