Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever played the back to back WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces twice, and up against 4 Olympic gold medalists, multiple champions and soon to be WNBA MVP Aja Wilson. Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell did this in one of the WNBA's craziest regular season games against Jackie Young, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray and A'ja Wilson.

Rookie Most Points Season and this is what bothers me, on Clark's way to beating this record, she passed the following players, and not a word has been spoken about the cream of the WNBA that Clark passed on the way to beating the record. Clark's Minutes played in the 2024 season is 1,396 & she has contributed 718 Pts from Assists and 761 Pts for combined Pts & Ast 1,479 of Team Pts 3,308. which leads the league if I am correct & no player has even won the assist and was in the top 10 in points. Clark 4 / 6. Clark in her just her rookie season, and with 1 remaining game has 329 assists breaking the LEAGUE Record for Assists. Clark is now #1, having passed a who-is-who of Elite WNBA players, and not a word. 1) A'ja Wilson, The MVP to be 2) Diana Taurasi, The Goat 3) Tamika Catchings, Basketball Hall of Fame, Women's Basketball Hall of Fame 4) Candace Parker, WNBA legend and future Hall-of-Famer 5) Seimone Augustus. HOF is one of the inductees of the Class of 2024.

@@chrishughes9399 that is not the point, the WNBA & ESPN have buried everything about Clark and talked up Reese and now she is gone, they are talking up Wilson I mean, just how much of a bonus or advantage is there for Wilson to have five other players who were chosen to go to the Olympics as teammates, three players who were also teammates when the ACES won the league back-to-back, and are part of the 2024, team. Wilson is a feed-me player, who relies on other players to do the work and for Refs to pocket their whistle for her and pull it out for others - and yes she does it well, better than any other player in the league. It should be noted that 23% of Wilson's season-high point total from FT represents 6.28 Pts in the 28.3 pts per game she is averaging. It should also be noted that Aces, FTA 514, PF 331 - 186 more FTA than PFs, and with the Aces avg 86.9 PPG & Opp PTS/G: 81.3 - The Aces are averaging 5.1 FTA more per game, which can be the margin of pts required to win the Game. ..... Wilson has taken 700 shots, & while averaging 28.3 Pts a game is impressive, of her 363 shots made, 69.2% 2Pt were from assists & 100% 3Pt were from Assists. Wilson only did 30.8% of the work for her points & collected only 78 OREB & generated only 83 assists over 36 games, committing only 64 fouls. ...... 15 feet to the foul line so Wilson does most of her work in the paint, but only generates 64 fouls, in the paint zones, where the vast majority of physical contact occurs. 145 shots Less Than 5 ft, 63.4% with Ast, 66 shots 5-9 ft. 60.6% with Ast, 63 shots 10-14 ft, 73.0% with Ast. 68 shots15-19 ft, 85.3% with Ast. .......

With her 3-point shooting ability and passing skills, she could be a bench player in the NBA. Boston can hit the three, and it was only random chance that she missed. That was a good play; they don't all play through the way we want them to. Sides is doing a good job; diamonds aren't turned from coal in a day. But it's coming, it's coming. Indiana pushing the champs to only a 4 point win? 'Nuff said. They have served up notice, that this isn't the 2023 Fever anymore. Look forward to a league topping position next year, as the Fever run the tails off everybody else; Youth does have it's advantages. That's the general opinion of all the NBA stars, as well as lots of WNBA stars as well. The Fever will burn HOT next year.... maybe even in the playoffs, as they now have experience with all the teams who they will face. Keep up the pace, and who knows!

As good as A'ja Wilson is, she's not 'most valuable'. Her team would, and has, done very well even when she wasn't there. Indiana, in comparison, is a completely different team since Clark joined them, and continues to get better and better. Clark deserves to be MVP. She is not only MVP for the Fever, but for the entire league. She has single handedly turned the WNBA into a profitable corporation. Just look at the attendance and TV view numbers; there is no comparison. Everywhere she goes, attendance soars. MVP.

STATS UPDATE - After the Dallas game MOST ASSISTS IN A SEASON 329 = number of assists by Caitlin Clark in 2024 for the NEW RECORD with 1 game remaining 316 = most assists in a season by Alyssa Thomas in 2023 for the previous record - Clark's per game average right now is 8.4 assists, so it is likely that she will add to the WNBA assist record with 337 assists. She had already set the rookie record earlier this season. MOST THREE POINTERS IN A SEASON 128 = most 3 pointers in a season by Sabrina Ionescu in 2023 120 = number of 3 pointers by Caitlin Clark in 2024 with 1 game remaining 8 = 3 pointers in the next game to tie the record - Clark's per game average right now is 3.1 three pointers per game, so it is likely that she will fall short of breaking this record this season with 123 three pointers. That said, she is already sitting at #3 on the all-time list in this category and is trending to reach 2nd place. That is still pretty good for a rookie, yes? In WNBA history, three players have scored 9 three pointers in a single game, so this record is unlikely but not impossible. MOST POINTS IN A SEASON BY A ROOKIE 761 = number of points by Caitlin Clark in 2024 with 1 game remaining for the NEW RECORD 744 = most points in a season by a rookie by Seimone Augustus in 2006 for the former record - Clark's points per game average right now is 19.5, so she is on pace to add to the new record with 780 points in a rookie season. MOST POINTS IN A SEASON 1,000 = number of points by A'ja Wilson in 2024 for the NEW RECORD with 2 games remaining 939 = most points in a season by Jewell Loyd in 2023 for the former record - Wilson's points per game average right now is 27.0, so she is on pace to reach 1,054 this season. We have just witnessed the first WNBA player cross the 1,000 point threshold. A'ja Wilson is having a stellar year. MOST REBOUNDS IN A SEASON 446 = number of rebounds in a season by Angel Reese in 2024 to date, setting a NEW RECORD 444 = number of rebounds by A'ja Wilson in 2024 with 2 games left to play 404 = most rebounds in a season by Sylvia Fowles in 2018 for former record 1.0 = number of rebounds per game needed for A'ja Wilson to tie Angel Reese - Wilson is averaging 12.0 rebounds per game. She is on pace for 468, the new record. - Reese was averaging 13.2 rebounds per game and had 7 games left to play. She was on pace for 538 rebounds in a season. But then the injury happened.

Fever demonstrated poor defense against a powerhouse team. (Regarding presumptive MVP A'ja: Would A'ja have so many points on a less-stacked team? Would the rest of the Aces even notice if A'ja wasn't there?) However, Fever nearly prevailed on their offense. Since the Fever clinched a playoff spot, these last games are not very consequential - really only practice for the playoffs and opportunities for the players to pad their regular-season stats and coaches to experiment a bit. I'd expect the Fever to be working on improving the D for the playoffs - and next season.

She’s amazing, but why do people have to stick their tongues out like they do? 😠

You have your center flare out for a 3, when she’s known for long 2’s, as your last play? Terrible coaching. I started watching WNBA bc of Clark but honestly i might like Mitchell more, she is a walking bucket. I’m not even gonna say give the ball to Clark but give it to one of your front court superstars for the last play.
