In my opinion caitlin Clark has been built for this mission since God Put her into her mother's womb to change this league into something good. God works where he works when he wants, and nothing can stop it Or the person he is working through if they keep with him what's needed for Caitlin Clark most of all, is prayers and then more prayers and then more prayers. Like the Bible says, pray unceasingly. There are already thousands and thousands and thousands of little mini Caitlin Clark wannabes practicing and looking at her records hallelujah God is good, God Is great and he always wins in the end

Clark brought the Fever from last place to playoff contenders, got more people watching the games and selling record ticket numbers. She elevated the league and her team, that's what MVP's do. No other player has ever done this for the WNBA. People that would NEVER watch a WNBA game are now tuning in just because of Catlin Clark. During the Olympic games people had signs asking "Where's Clark?". They wanted to see Clark not anyone else. NBA players are even talking about Clark and what she has done for the WNBA. Even in the after game press conferences, she don't talk bad about other players or her team. She isn't disrespectful to the reporters, like I have seen many other WNBA players do. Other players have to pad their stats, just to get on Clarks level and that says a lot about Clark. She is all class and deserving of the MVP title.

@@rektz2457 This is only the most basic, ground level explanation. What OP is referring to is the open disregard for obvious cash cows simply because of, I don't know, jealousy (?). The league loves saying they deserve more money, but then keep shooting themselves in the foot with not only their shit-poor business decisions, but because they *DOUBLE DOWN* on their dumbass behavior because they refuse to admit wrongdoing. Caitlin Clark is just the most recent, EXTREMELY glaring example of the league being incredibly hypocritical and archaic, still caring more about catering towards their has-been names like Diana Taurasi. Don't get me wrong, DT is one of the WNBA GOATs, but come on; she hasn't been relevant in the league in anything but name for years and yet the league continues to shine her shoes and take everything she says as fact. She's also borderline lost all of my respect with the fact she has done the same doubling down behavior in her extremely clear jealousy of Caitlin Clark. She knows that CC is far better and if she continues developing as a pro is going to push DT into irrelevancy, and she simply can't handle it so she sits and fuckin' lies in the media CONSTANTLY just to hold onto that scrap of relevancy she still maintains in the WNBA.

I know what you’re trying to say but cmon Caitlin is the most popular and most media covered WNBA player ever and it’s not even close. Aja Wilson is undeniably the deserving MVP this year and Clark will unquestionably win Rookie of the Year. She’s not lacking in recognition and I highly doubt she’ll be crying herself to sleep over a couple haters like Sheryl Swoopes (the majority of that conversation is about defending Caitlin not agreeing with the hate or universal hate like Lebron gets) Nor will she be that hurt by not finishing 1st or 2nd in MVP . Caitlin knows Aja deserves it this year, no player dreams of being top 5 in voting they want #1 so whatever placement in that she gets won’t matter. Caitlin is gonna be fine , the unnecessary race war that mostly exists online only would be the main thing I’m sorry she has to be in the middle of.

And people in the public eye who really should know better continue to propagate it and poke the bear. And then there’s the social cancer that is social media. So many more ways for people to express their dumb hatred and get in touch with likeminded folk. Social media ought to be a great tool and in some ways it is. But then again, humanity’s seemingly never-ending ability to insert its pedal extremity into its own mouth has been turbocharged by social media. Just look at all the new ‘phobics’ that have sprung into existence. ‘Victimhood’ is a growth industry. I continue to hope that humanity will eventually grow and mature but it won’t be in my lifetime. In terms of the WNBA as a business, they are missing an opportunity to capitalize financially from The Caitlin Clark Effect (tCCe) They are already benefiting from tCCe in ticket sales, merch sales and advertising money. But they don't seem to be doing what they could to shape the narrative. With the NBA over seeing this, it is hard to see why they're not doing better. (although maybe not). Owners, coaches, and union heads should be discussing how to capture and grow this. When Bird/Magic came on the scene they showcased it everywhere, INCLUDING the black/white angle. As far as CC is concerned I think she'll be fine. It appears she understands the "game of thrones". First and foremost she is a basketball player. Practice. Study. Work. Play. Win. Practice. Study. Work. Play. Win. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. ... Then she maintains her grace. Her calm. Her professionalism. Frankly this is, by far to me, the most impressive thing she has done. Has she ever said a bad thing about the players and coaches who have dissed her? They will shit on her and she will excel. They will punch her and she will excel. They will belittle her and she will excel. In the end, she will rise as far as her talent, body and character will allow. At this point we have not seen how tall that mountain is. Will she just be great? Or will she change the sport forever.

That must have taken FOREVER to put together. And although not all of them can be considered records per se, they constitute yet another broken record. Which is the most records set or broken by a rookie in a single season, possibly a league record for that matter. Also, consider this, the records she's setting are probably only going to be broken by one person....herself. Imagine what she can do if she plays all season at the averages she's been putting up since the break? Scary, isn't it?

Another great show. Funny thing, For years I've been trying to get people to explain "gaslighting" to me. Well I finally know exactly what it means after watching the Kamala Harris nomination, the Angel Reese rookie of the Year race and the "Caitlin Clark is not very good and is so over rated" agenda. Don't believe your lying eyes, Let the gatekeepers and Task Masters along with Your favorite musician, actor, or athlete tell you what to think And who to vote for. I'm here to watch the beginning of the career of an Otherworldly young woman who is On the path to becoming One of, if not the greatest basketball player ever to sprint down a hardwood floor. I hope I live long enough to see her in the Hall of Fame because I will go and sit in the front row saying I saw it all. I saw Kurt Gibson's home run with the Dodgers. I saw Trent Green down with a knee injury and some guy who was sacking groceries, (Kurt Warner) come in as back up quarterback, Took them to the Super Bowl and won and iss in the Hall of Fame now. I saw Tom Brady beat that Quarterback And the greatest show on turf Of the Rams and people say he was going to be the greatest ever and others said he was a joke I knew exactly what he was when he beat my favorite team who I thought was unbeatable at the time now I'm just hoping to see more greatness it's so so rare. Any real sports fan should be so excited and happy to see this. I haven't been watching sports because it's been garbage for years NFL kneeling on their own countries anthem I've just been sick of it all and now millions of us are trying to get interested and they want to kick us out. Being in the top team, it's much much easier to do well. You are getting fed better passes, your team will rebound better, you get more open looks, other teams are getting spread and less able to press or hold their shape against the best team. And literally every team you play is easier than your team to play. Getting those stats in a lower team against harder opposition is way more impressive and with less support. CC is often double teamed because she's the threat. What a complete joke.

I am no aficionado of the sport of basketball so I could be wrong but, for what its worth, I feel fairly certain that because CC22 and her team didn't win the 2024 NCAA national championship against South Carolina, her reputation, therefore, is tarnished in the eyes of the media, WNBA organization as well as some of its players. Moreover, I fear that she will not get recognition until she and her team mates defeat the Las Vegas Aces! That is the only "mountain" left for her and the Fever to climb. What's more, the situation on the Fever is exasperated due to the fact that the Fever basically has a "rookie" coach! When you get a player of CC22's caliber you need to know what the heck you're doing! When CC22 said, in answer to a reporter, that "no one gives her advise: she must have, she had to have been talking about her coach Christie Sides!

Griner is a bio male with a male DSD(XXY), not a lesbian, he is heterosexual. Does not belong in women's sports. Same with the transfemales in the league. If the WNBA doesn't eject the bio male players before they start turning a profit, the league will quickly get flooded with bio males and will just have a few token females. Males born with male DSD are males. Females born with female DSD are females. Transfemales belong in male sports. Transmales, depending on how long they have been on testosterone? Belong in female sports. Even intersex (DSD) there are only 2 bio sexes/genders. Female sports being exploited by males with disabilities/disorders or issues is WRONG.

One thing is Clark’s slow start, presumably because of lack of experience. The Fever started 0-5, and 2-8. After that, the Fever won at a torrid pace, close to that of the top teams. CC’s post All-Star break record would look a lot more of a slam -dunk case for MVP than her full season averages.

No. From the beginning, there was an agenda against her. The league front-loaded the Indiana Fever with better teams so they WOULD get out to a slow start. This was done in part to justify who they wanted going to the Olympics, and to make it hard on her. It was dirty, and in my estimation, the WNBA is full of racists, haters, and cronyism. Conspiracy Theory: i think that the CC snubs by ESPN and The WNBA are intentional AND they're the right move. Anyone that has followed the league knows that one of their biggest issues is that there were no storylines that drove views. Nobody cared about anything going on in the league. Well the reality is the blatant snubs of CC actually drives more views. It helps create a villain that we can root against. Its a story that people care about. "The Greatest WNBA Rookie of All-Time is Getting Hated On" At the end of the day, these rankings dont mean anything, but it definitely gets us riled up and rooting even more for CC. Nothing is wrong with A'ja's attitude. She's competitive and is not there to please y'all or act the way y'all feel she should.

@@rhondarostrickland4665 Fine, A'ja, give in to your worst instincts, then, but don't whine about lack of attention if you turn people away. Yeah, A'ja's so competitive she had no fouls called on her in the last Fever game.

The only way CC can win MVP, is if the Fever wins the championship. ESPN is already set on AW.

Thanks for shouting out Clark and collier! They’re both great and have done wonders for their teams. I’d have top 3 as a’ja, Clark and collier then stewart at 4.

I always thought that you got recognised, obviously for the stats achieved but also the impact you made to the season, but unfortunately when politricks get involved, it muddies the water. Bottom line is CC doesnt fit into their ideology, she's too white, too straight and too religious (catholic). So she might be appreciated by the majority of fans, but is resented by the fraternity in the WNBA.

I don't think the majority of those women care about her being white or straight or what religion she observes. This really is just a few that envy her fan popularity and the media attention she draws as well as the mounds of money she gathers leaving them in her wake. Not racism. Not political. Just leaves them looking petty and small

MVP? Ask yourself who move the needle of attendance & broadcasting? Any other team than Indiana Fever having a higher rating? Why is this so?

none of the real criteria for MVP matter's. Wilson was annoited before the break. the reason she whine's so much is because she's being chased/pushed to actualy earn it!!! just think if Wilson got hurt early on??? the WNBA would be in a shambles!!!
