The wave was disrespectful not the strategy to play off of that player. It’s nothing wrong w the wave it’s apart of the game. But if ppl call Angel Reese “a bad sport” or “disrespectful” for her taunts then we have to be consistent and saying Caitlin Clark’s wave off to SC guard was a “disrespectful” gesture lol. As I said it’s apart of the game I’m not complaining but let’s be consistent in how we view the players…Im a fan of both Reese & Clark…

You can tell Iowa was very confident they were gonna win. I mean when you got the best player in the world, you have every right to be confident maybe even cocky but the problem is it’s a team game. Caitlin Clark can’t do everything by herself. Monica was her only help. LSU definitely made adjustments that South Carolina didn’t.

@@nathanstarszak7844, the refs had to make it look somewhat fair by calling SOME LSU fouls, they couldnt just call Iowa fouls and expect it to not look rigged. But smart people realized early on that something shady was going on. However, there were serveral LSU fouls that needed to be called but weren't. Did LSU play a good game...yeah obviously...I mean they did win but it was thanks to the refs blowing their d@mn whistles every couple of minutes that allowed LSU the opportunities to get some of those points so they could win. If they (the refs) had stayed out of it...i hate to break it to ya...but Iowa could have had a very real chance of pulling off the W. P.S.- Don't tell me to "get outta here", I'll say anything I d@mn well please...it is a free country last I checked. A free country that LSU doesn't even have to common decency to respect by coming out on the sidelines during the National Anthem, no them dumb b!tches had to wait in the locker room then come out afterwards!!!

Caitlin had 2 offensive charges and the technical all 3 horseshit calls. Monica and Caitlin couldn't be aggressive like normal. People don't realize how close iowa got to coming all the way back, the technical stopped iowa's comeback.... but LSU won and deservedly won,,,, but I could've pulled 3 high school refs that would've performed better than these clowns, this couldn't be the best 3 refs in the ncaaw

I don't disagree and I do accept that Angel should get a break - The hand flip seemed to me to be a reaction in her own head to the situation. Almost like she had to remind herself to leave her out there because the normal reaction is to jump out. So it was like, in her head she told herself "no," and the hand was a reactive because there was as a spontaneous physical response, as well.

I am simply considering context in the heat of competition and an edgy defensive strategic move, which by itself has to be considered "disrespectful." The point is, making an issue of this at all is the problem. A player on a different team commenting and being offended about it? Does Angel really care that much about the feelings of her rival? Now that is a stretch worth commenting on.

Does LSU actually feel disrespected by how Iowa played SC? Iowa had 5 players to defend SC's 5 players. They played the formation that gave them the highest probability of victory against a team they had trouble stopping in the paint. Where's the disrespect? This claim screams of entitlement. Perhaps SC should have had ball handlers who were willing to shoot threes when they were unguarded. They weren't just wide open. They were nearly unguarded. If a guard isn't going to shoot and make shots while being unguarded why guard them? Isn't it a waste of a defender? SC was so dominant on the boards that they should have shot those unguarded 3's. When they did start shooting they made some. But they were so dominant on the glass that even if the shooter missed the 3, SC probably would have gotten the rebound, although rebounding 3's can be more tricky because they can bounce off rim further.
