I've long agreed with this commenter's sentiment, it's gross on every single level of discourse, & should be shamed out of existence. When a competitor is at the line, decorum should be maintained while they shoot, especially if it's the opposing team. Importantly, we're not talking about professional men & women here, we're talking about children. Rodney Jordan Did you see the interview with her dad? I think it was after their sweet 16 win. He had her in rec leagues as soon as he realized she was special because she was kicking all the boy's asses, and she was only 5. They moved to WDM where there was competition, and by 6th grade, she was on AAU teams all through high school. Before college, she was on a U19 international team with Paige Bueckers and Hailey Van Lith, VL was her roommate, and their coach was Jeff Walz from Louisville. The girls brought home gold. Other coaches gave up on her because she already planned on being a Hawkeye. We get to have her for 2 more years!! I have never seen someone this good, men or women, and I've watched a lot of basketball over the last 40 years.
