It's gonna be tough for me either way because I bet on college football games and have to watch them, but I would rather they be on Sundays because the NFL is tougher to bet on, but ratings wise it'd be a nightmare for the WNBA to go against the NFL on Sundays. Their best bet is going against college football for a decent number. They need to utilize those Friday night games on ION, but I don't know if ION has the playoff rights.

You nailed it a couple times. She’s the face of basketball. There is no better offensive player than Caitlin Clark. It’s just such an entertaining style of basketball. Not to mention efficient. Transition, if that’s not available AB CC pick and roll, that’s all you need to do every single play now that Clark has figured out how to deal with the blitz and Boston has become an elite decision maker in the resulting 4 on 3 on the backside of that blitz. Never thought they’d get there this year but if Hull/Katie Lou can shoot 40% for a playoff series and none of the big three go cold they can win it all. Your point about basketball as entertainment was a good one. Fans who are not hardcore fans of the game want to have fun, and that means fast-paced basketball, slam dunks (at least in the NBA - the "W" needs a few athletic freaks who can slam), 3's, some basketball ball-handling/move-making wizardry, etc. Old school WNBA bored people. So much slow it down, grind-it-out, dump- it-inside-to-the-tall-player basketball, and so many missed shots. CC is revolutionizing the game with her style of play, and if the WNBA wants long-terms success, it will need more players like her.

I am a male who was never interested much in basketball (more a hockey fan). I now watch Fever Games (or at least the highlights), drawn initially by the Caitlin Clarke hype. . To be honest, I prefer the WNBA game over the NBA's. I find the "dunking" in the NBA boring as opposed to the playmaking and layups/shooting of the WNBA. I would prefer the men's game if the hoop was set at least a foot higher to adjust the game back to what it likely was when tall players were around 6 feet not routinely pushing over over 7 feet tall. Watching a Fever game is actually fast-moving fun.

This is how the WNBA will grow is teams building a team like the Fever. The half court game doesn't work for excitement. What works is fast paced... It creates high scoring games and something we all have seen in pretty much all sports is everyone loves high scoring. NBA has changed a bunch of rules in favor of the offense, NFL changed a bunch of rules in favor of the offense... Hell even the MLB is implementing rules to speed up the pace of games.
