These girls have been in the industry for a long time and have accomplished so much, I feel like they will never do well enough when they are the biggest girl group in the world. People will always find an excuse to put them down even when they don't do anything just because they are successful women and move away from the traditional kpop group but I love them unconditionally they are the first kpop group that i discovered and i am so proud of them even if i even though I knew them when they were already famous. Whistle has an acoustic version. Also, Rosé performed this acoustic version in an Inkigayo showcase, together with Twice’s Jihyo, Exo’s Chanyeol, and rapper 10cm. Rosé sang Jennie’s rap part too! For the longest time, the girls considered Whistle’s choreo as one of their hardest since it’s like dancing to an a capella song. Choreographers agreed with this since there is kust one underlying steady beat and it’s difficult to dance to basically nothing and still keep in step. The Show and the Tokyo Dome concert albums have the live band. This is their touring band-Band Six. They have been with YG since the days of Big Bang (they toured with 2NE1 as well). I think they cannot release a Coachella album because of Coachella itself. Seeing your meltdown on the JenLisa rap part in Kill This Love, I think you’d faint if you see how they did it in this year’s Coachella 😊

omg caitlin idk if this has ever been recommended to you but since you said you don’t really trust lyric videos, you should watch line distributions. line distributions focus mostly on how much a member sings and what they sang in the song, while lyric videos just focus on the lyrics. random_k’s line distribution are very good, as they do both the lyric and the line distribution, so you can see what member sings which part which good accuracy

I agree with your final thoughts. From my perspective as a kpop fan since 2009, I think one of the reason why there is so much hate for these girls is how YG handled 2NE1 and BlackPink. How BlackPink debuted and bascially cut off 2NE1 out of no where. But yes BlackPink has come a long way and has been very successful. When I watched Blackpink's Coachella performance, I saw them in a different light. I already like them since debut but I always feel like something is missing whenever I watch them during their music show performance or their year end performance. But with Coachella, it clicked and I feel I found what I have been missing, which is that YG group extraordinary stage presence. I didn't know they really had it in them.
