You were so shook by rocker Chen, as you should be! You saw a clip of "Uprising", which is a song that was written specifically for Chen for their 2014 concert tour. Chen has another rock song called "Watch Out", his solo song within CBX's 2018 album. You should react to "Uprising" in Japan (2014) and "Watch Out" in CBX Magical Circus tour (2018). His stage presence is next level and he eats the stage in both. Chen was on Masked Singer in 2016. The public was shocked when he revealed who he was, no one thought it was an idol because he sang so good. The main judge thought he was a rock band's frontman. There were articles with comments praising Chen, and these comments had more than 14,000 "likes", which is pretty crazy for comments on articles. That's how big an impression he made with "normies". Chen is one of the few idols to go on Masked Singer and make it to the last round. He lost against a veteran singer but just barely, which is crazy given he was only 4 years into his career. The two songs he performed are "Stained" and "Drunken Truth", both are up on youtube. Anyway, this guide is kinda weird for not mentioning some of Chen's biggest achievements: - Most successful Exo solo member in SK in terms of digital (streaming) charts and recognition by the general public (in fact, many casual listeners in SK often mistake Chen as a solo singer because his solo music is well known with the public; when they find out he's part of an idol group, they are surprised) - His debut song and album performed better digitally than any of Exo's group albums and songs - Top 5 solo debut among ALL idols (male and female) in terms of "unique listeners" in the first 24hours on Melon (Melon is SK's most used streaming platform) - Most successful SM male artist solo debut in SK - Several Melon roof hits for 2 songs each. This happens when your song hits the limit of most possible streams, so it's the most "number 1" a number 1 song can get; one roof hit is very hard to get, let alone multiple roof hits for one song, let alone two songs...Those 2 songs are: the SM Station song "Lil Something" with Heize in 2016, and his solo debut song "Beautiful Goodbye" in 2019. There are MVs for both songs. - He won "Best Rap/Hip-hop Collab" in both the 2017 MAMA and Melon Music Awards for the song "Nosedive" with Dynamic Duo (famous rap duo). There is an MV for this song, a beautiful song about mental health/depression. Chen collabed with Dynamic Duo again in 2020 for the song "You" and there is another beautiful and hearbreaking MV for this, with a story about an illness in old age.

Chen is the first idol I heard among EXO , I felt in few seconds to the male voice who sang everytime when it played in descendants of the sun drama. I played audio version of it everyday but I had no idea he was an idol at all, I didnt have any interest on kpop until I found out later in 2019 dec that my favorite korean ost singer turned out to be from famous boyband EXO . I had no idea how he looks even his personality . He was not my bias but my favorite vocal,2nd favorite , well my bias was Kyungsoo, but when I watched exo reality shows ,his personality captivated me like wow This guy is so good to this cruel world .He is well balanced in every aspect he is not the always loud person he is really quiet but when he get hyper he is so loud, he is my ideal artist his vocals are outstanding in every aspect specially I love his outstanding emotional delivery , his songs are masterpieces outstanding ,as a lyricst too he is in a very skilled level that got praised by professional lyricsts , his angel personality , his wild performer side,not just moves his intense gaze is crazily attractive and he is extremely handsome not typical korean flower boy type he has mixed features of masculine and gorgeous beauty . He broke my prejudice against idols . But I still find his old content and I get wrecked by him over and over. So my bias and biaswrecker is him now

My bias since 2019 when he released Beautiful goodbye i just felt it and finally picked an Exo bias (which btw is very hard)... His voice is what I fell Inlove with and him in general such a kind hearted person.. And he is the best father to a very special little April babygirl :) proud soondingie yall!
