Caitríona Balfe & Sam Heughan chatted with Reshma Gopaldas about 'Outlander' season 7 and their first impressions of working with each other. Plus, they looked back on early 'Outlander' scene photos and told us what was really happening in them and gave us a behind the scenes peek. Heughan revealed why he thinks Balfe will be a great director. Balfe also confessed why she's looking forward to directing Heughan in season 8. After working together for 10 years, Heughan and Balfe show just how well they know each other and tell us why they are thankful to be on this ride together. It’s hard to believe that Outlander co-stars Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan have been working together for almost 10 years on their hit series. When they first started, they were both fairly inexperienced when it came to television. Today, it’s hard to imagine them as anything but the two people who have captivated audiences on screen by bringing one of the greatest love stories to life. Taking Jamie and Claire Fraser from the pages of Diana Gabaldon’s nine book series to screen has been a long, fulfilling, challenging and great ride for the two. Balfe and Heughan sat down exclusively with us to chat all about season 7 of Outlander. They also reacted to some early memories from season 1 of Outlander, and recalled their first impressions of each other. With Balfe set to direct in season 8, Heughan told us exactly why he thinks she’ll be such a good director. Good quality ITW, I like the found complicity of Cait and Sam and their filming anecdotes. However, I note a sadness in Sam whenever the S8 is mentioned. Great emptiness in their lives even if other projects await them and great emptiness for us , admirers who are very attached to this saga which brings us so much happiness. I failed miserably to pick up on this wonderful interview with its most candid comments and answers, Sam and Caitriona have given each other glowing references truly deserved, the last ten years have been a joy to see these adorable movie mates gel together, from day one they have taken us on a Magic Carpet Ride for a decade, and they have an amazing sense of humour which is very infectious, they are so at ease in each others company I believe they will remain the best of friends wherever their chosen paths take them, I have enjoyed every season and episode of ‘Outlander’ and I’m loving S7. Reshma, they are so comfortable with you! I love the whole vibe. Sigh...so them. 😍 I noticed that Cait seems to be aware that this is coming to an end and her feelings are right there. Sam, on the other hand, seems to be pushing his away. I think it's too much for him right now. They're both really going to miss the constant contact and the closeness that comes from being together for over a decade. I can't imagine the pain of it. He simply can't let down just yet. Yes, they'll always be friends - but not like they are now. 💔🥺 . I, too, feel sad knowing that we won't be seeing them together anymore when the show ends. They'll suddenly disappear. It makes me teary because I've come to love them so much! Yes, they'll go on to do other interviews on other projects, but this partnership has been the stuff of dreams. Together they're are magic! Unlike any other on screen couple I've seen. And they've given their hearts and souls to Outlander. I'm forever grateful to them for letting me/us see what love looks like. It's been life changing. 😢🙏❣ I hope you & Josh do all the interviews from her on out.
