Indeed. Where had she been hiding all this while? Such a versatile actress yet she wasn't given meatier roles in the past. Those wasted years in modelling. Her hard work went down the drain when the company she worked for had financial trouble and they did not pay her as much as USD300k. What a pity. It's her time to shine,now that she has been "discovered". I'm glad for her.

I am so impressed with how genuine and sincere are both Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, it never fails to shine through. Every interview feels like it's their first, they're not glib or jaded nor do they seem tired of the questions. You know they are interviewed dozens of times, likely many of the same questions. Am I wrong, or could the Outlander show be one of the greatest shows of all time? I mean, I feel so drawn to it. It's unlike any other show I've ever watched and at age 51, I have seen a lot of shows.

I'm not a fan of romantic love stories , until my husband began watching Outlander. I'm not sure when the story hooked me, but I found myself sobbing. When Claire left Jamie to return to the future, it was surprising to get so emotional over a movie, especially a believable love story. Claire is a strong and competent woman, and Jamie is true and kind hearted. Might be weird, but I think I really understood Jamie's character when he was forced to have sex with the young lady, ( I cannot recall her name) He was so kind to her, because he knew she was a vigin. It was heartbreaking to watch, because he was being sexualky exploited, but his grace was beautiful. The actors and actresses across the board in this movie are phenomenal. I also began reading the books after seeing the movie- book # 2 now. The books are great!

I alway enjoy your posts, and think so much of your insights and comments. However, I don't understand why Sam Heughan's strengths as an actor are almost never mentioned. Yes, we finally got the question about their chemistry, and Caitriona kept referring to her scenes in terms of "us," when talking about how she and Sam are working together, but neither of the interviewers picked up or expounded on what she was saying. Sam Heughan is a well-trained, versatile actor who commands the screen, whose range is evident especially in the first episodes of Season 2, and whose generosity toward his fellow actors shines through in every scene. He is more than just eye candy. I feel that in so many of these interviews, his acting is overlooked.

Overlooked alright... Completely underrated and not mentioned enough, thank you. Sam is truly one of the most amazing actors I've seen (and I've seen -a lot-. So I'm also not easily impressed, I must say). To put it simply and short, Sam leaves me speechless and with feelings truly beyond words. A suspended silence. In pure awe of what I just witnessed and experienced, and what I was led to feel. His range, the subtlety, the presence, the unexpected, the attention to detail, the development and dimensionality of the portrayal of the character, the full body commitment and engagement, the truthfullness, the humbleness, the grace, the freshness, pure art. Like a painting in motion. Soulfull, heartfull, genuine. Beyond lovely. Oh, blah blah blah. It's... alive. And it touches you on your deepest. A haunting beauty. And it is consistent, no unimportant throw away moment, no half assed feeling! On the aftermath of watching, I literally blessed him and was filled with genuine gratitude. Sam, thank you for your art! Oh, I love and second what you said "whose generosity toward his fellow actors shines through in every scene", "commands the screen" . Well put!

Cait answering the question about the Jamie Claire reunion she say she thinks the fans will be happy, well yes they absolutely will, no question about that. I hope it isn't an anti climax, I think we all try and imagine how it will go but to be honest we will thankfully accept anything that they give us...can't wait..:)

I've chosen to watch each season first, then read the books. Anyway, thank you for not too many spoilers. Hopefully winter will go fast so we can get on with Season 3!!

Does.this woman not realise that Sams willingness to let go of the male ego, allow.her to come forth.as a character. His charisma is.boundless and yet.he.allows her to take centre stage. As narrator in the books we do not see her as we do Jamie so his role is.infinitely more difficult to portray. But he does it that even the most diehard fans are prepared.to allow his Jamie to supersede that of our.imagination.
