Heidi, I'm a retired drummer active fm mid 60s to late 70s. Got interestedvin cajones on utube and recently discovered yo with your performance of "say a prayer 🙏 w your musician friends. TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY WITH THE ARRANGEMENT, THE VOCALS/HARMONIES/ THE BUILDING OF THE EXCITEMENT, ETC.. the cajon's integration of other percussion instruments was, to say the least - magnificent. I'm now an ardent subscriber, and when I decide on a cajon, I will be a student too..

Love you Heidi! There are many wonderful maestros of cajon on KZbin, but your strategy includes the best understanding for the beginners. As far as i am concerned you ARE the sound of the cajon itself and you are so appreciated. It would be awesome if you could, perhaps, give a couple of rock or pop or other songs we could practice these grooves with.... as examples! Playing with this video for the 100th time and STILL wanted it not to end, lol! mwaah

oh finding it difficult to play withthe metronome - I have difficulty with the feel of the rhythm while staying in time with the down beat of the metronome.

Are you learning with my modern method? This would help so much with the metronome thing if you consistently practise along to the practise along videos, especially the technique lessons!!!! Just keep going, before you know it you will surprise yourself!!!!! I believe in you! ❤️

Hi Heidi - Excellent video as usual! Question for you: Have you made any videos explaining the difference between the Cruz Cajon models? They always have excellent sound quality in your videos and seem like a great place to invest in taking up the instrument.
