Hi! I'm a 15 year old, and I am also passionate about the cajon. I'm really glad that you make an effort to make videos because they really help :). I've been learning really well but kinda slowly because it's difficult to find out new techniques I can do with a simple instrument. I'm sure you know what I'm saying HAHA. Good luck and keep posting these vids!

Sweet! I've started in on slowing doing the finger rolls. it's much harder than it looks, even though I've always, rolled my fingers on countertops and such. But then, I've use three fingers, two takes much more control. Can you also alternate your four finger rolls, like Lmiddle/Rmiddle/l1/R1? At the beginning, this feels almost as reasonable and comfortable to me...

Cajon Groove Guide yes Ross that makes perfect sense. I come from drum set too,and it was Gordy Knutsons double stroke technique with sticks that led me to look at this, as you learn to do your double strokes with both hands together first to get your strength, and then you start delaying your week hand following your strong hand to create the roll. All that said, I am getting on to your way very well.

Great 👍 It's been months playing my cajon. I've learned some of the beats but with finger roll it's not going good..!! I'm not good at the finger rolls with my left fingers. It sounds lower than my right...So If you can help me out with improving my left hand finger rolls
