My father was Cajun as well, and my mother was a Yankee from New jersey. They married and us three kids. Married for over 25 years before my mother passed away. From what I observed my dad's family adored my mother.

It's all fun when you're a Cajun and move out of state, that's when the fun really begins,I remember moving to Georgia years ago and wow!,that was an experience,a buddy of mine who I grew up with moved out there and we used to go out a nd it didnt take long to know where we were in a club or restaurant because wed have quite a few women sitting with us laughing their butts off.😅😅😅

Poul'Deau is those black small duck like birds that are ALL over the swamps. They have red eyes. The real name for bird is American Coot. They also call them "water chickens". They do NOT have web feet, but feet very similar to chickens. If you ever seen them take off from water they kinda "run" on top of water and never seem to get too high off ground almost clumsy looking. They also VERY delicious. put 2 poul'Deau on a black iron pot cover with onion/bell pepper, celery and seasoning. Add alittle stock and bake for 2 hours,
