CAKE continues to deliver a category-leading power-to-weight ratio with its electric drivetrain, forged aluminum frame and CAKE designed components; the lightest configuration is 89 kilos/195 lbs. With "Jante", the newly CAKE developed IPM (Internal Permanent Magnet) motor maxing at 16kW, and the quick swap 72V battery, the Bukk delivers 456 Nm of instant torque accelerating from 0-45 km/h in 2.15 seconds. Super cool, but 19" front and rear wheels is a shame. Why not 21" front 18" rear for the off-road model?

It's room to fit a 21-inch wheel, but we decided to stick with a 19-inch setup to maintain the bike's agility and swift handling. Additionally, using a larger wheel on the front would decrease the fork's travel, which could negatively impact the bike's ability to absorb bumps and maintain traction on uneven terrain. Ultimately, the decision to go with a 19" wheel setup was likely made after careful consideration of various factors, including performance, handling, and overall rider experience. With the ability to change to a 21" front wheel you can choose your favorite setup. Either go for the bulkier but more forgiving and slightly heavier 21" setup or you stick with the 19" with full travel, lower weight and market-leading agility.

The math proves that a larger front is better for tackling obstacles, hence my comment about off-road use. The suggestion that I need to buy a new wheel to fix a shortcoming on an already expensive bike is a joke.

Everything that was missing on the kalk. 72v, fast-swap battery. Please cake upgrade your chargers. Make them smaller and more transportable. If euc's can do it so can you. Not sure about the open motor. Looks sick but it may be a pain to clean. The straight lines of the kalk are just great when it comes to cleaning. Fast-swap looks like the seat is connected to the side panels and the battery lock is in the back? How to prevent thiefs? Has to be lockable but then its not toolless :p no belt drive? But overall i cant wait to see someone with their hands on one. Cake still is the #1 light electric motorcycle company that most people cant or dont want to afford. thats why they buy a surron.

Good job on the quick swap battery. I'd love to see an electric dirt bike with a clutch for riders who want a high performance motorcycle. Some things you just can't do without a clutch.

Thanks for your comment. Any vehicle that uses energy as its source of propulsion but produces no exhaust gas or other pollutants is considered a zero-emissions vehicle. Hybrid and plugin hybrid vehicles still emit some tailpipe pollutants, unlike fully electric vehicles. These vehicle types produce a lot less pollution than combustion vehicles as they have no tailpipe emissions. CAKE bikes, being powered by electricity, result in zero-emission driving, per definition. However, emissions are created from production, charging and end-of-life phase. Although driving electric is considered zero emissions, the overall carbon footprint is not zero. Zero-emissions driving refers only to the use phase of the vehicle. While electric vehicles do not have any tailpipe emissions, they do produce emissions from a life-cycle perspective. Even the electricity that is used to charge the batteries has a carbon footprint. In simple words, nothing is truly zero emissions. It comes down to how we draw the boundaries to define emissions. @@ridecake But its clearly only for marketing as you are understandably trying to sell a product. Using environmentally friendly virtue as a means to sell does not sit well with me as it is fairly well known that the environmental impact of battery power over fuel combustion is hard to quantify and many say is no better really. Isn't it time we all, businesses and individuals alike, actually started genuinely giving more care to the world that literally sustains us?
