Making edible glass

This is the basic recipe I used to make sugar glass shards for decorating a cake. It tastes delicious but does not keep for long (goes sticky). Make it no more than a day in advance and keep refrigerated until needed.

That has happened to me also, there is a fine line between done and burnt, it's tricky, make sure you take it off the heat as soon as it reaches temperature, or even just before.
