@@bethdoughty114 I think I was put off popcorns 41 years ago I knitted a coat for our 1st baby. All popcorns. Luckily she was tiny and wore it for 6 months. I must admit crochet popcorns are a million times easier than knitted ones. Loving this pattern

So loving my first CAL even though I am a little behind😅 looking forward to completing this combination and moving forward to Tom Kitten! A little nervous about the border as I have never done an envelope border before but I will watch videos before attempting it! I think you mentioned that it will be the same type of border as your Lizzie blanket. Thoroughly enjoying this CAL thank you so much.😊

There is no behind just you enjoying your crochet at your own pace, the border is done in the same was as the greenway CAL, you will be fine, Anja x

I wouldn't worry about the double border, just look at it this way..... You are making two single borders next to each other, then you are seeming/crocheting two long thin strips of crochet together!

It feels like ages since I did my first OT blanket. It was Jam Jar, and despite my taking great care it still happened a few times that my stitch count wasn’t exactly correct, so I just did a bit of fudging and the whole thing turned out very well. Nevertheless I did feel a bit guilty that I couldn’t always get the row quite right. It was both amusing and comforting to me to see Anja doing exactly the same kind of ‘adjustment’ when her sampler row doesn’t quite fit the pattern. For those doing the full blanket, however, this highlights the need to follow the printed pattern very carefully and not get confused by the small differences in the video.

Quick rule of thumb:- If I was doing the full blanket instead of a Layla Blanket width runner, I'd probably be about 10 rows into WEEK 2 about now. However, the runner is on row 3 of week 5 currently.

For the blanket Row 3: The Tom kitten row reads 47pop 1 fpdc 2 boxes However the written pattern and the video both have a fpdc at the beginning and the end of the row So it’s 47 pop 2fpdc and 2 boxes Just in case anybody else reads it and thinks it’s not right X
