Thanks for the memories. Those came from VT-29 & VT-31 out of Corpus Christi NAS. I spent many, many happy hours in the S2 while stationed at VT-31 in 1971 & 72. I saw these years ago, shortly after being purchased by CFS, and they were still painted in Navy colors.

Those are some really interesting aircraft to see, the OV-10 Bronco really is an interesting design. Nice footage!
@EdWhisenantAviation8 жыл бұрын
Ya the Bronco is one cool design, I used to see them at the former El-Toro Marine Airbase in Orange County and they would pull up at a 90 degree and six paratroops would fall out the back. Probably can KZbin it :) Thanks so much for watching.

That must have been pretty cool to see. I'll definitely give it a search and see if I can find it.

Are the S-2's airframes pressurized??? Anyone know?
@EdWhisenantAviation5 ай бұрын
Great question. the ceiling on a S-2 is 22,000 feet, aircraft should have cabin pressurization when they fly above 10,000 to 14,000 feet but I can only assume that they don't fly these that high anymore. Maybe someone else can give us a solid answer. Thank you again for watching 👍😎

These S2T's are from WWII area NAVY submarine chaser. The original power plant were Pratt Whitney 9 cylinder. Had a sweet sound at full speed taxi. T93 shown within is Based at Chico Air Attack Base (CAAB).
