I'm struck by how many chest-level, uncontested discs Cal dropped. Ain't gonna win too many games doing that.

3:44 is the most college play. Wide open dump and hucks into double coverage on the sideline.

Calvin’s skills are some of the best, but his mental game just wasn’t there.

I thought it was a good look. His receiver had tons of space, but he just waited 2 seconds too long to throw the disc and it floated like crazy, allowing another defender to catch up. If he threw it two seconds earlier and less floaty, I think it's an easy score.

9 turns in one game is crazy for a worlds player

The stadium wind at Breese Stevens is hard to get used to. Wind can change directions and get stronger above the walls about 8-10 feet off the ground.

It was either Darkside or Brown since Carleton won in 2017 when Jack Williams, Ben Jagt, Cole Jurek, etc were still in college. Don't think John Randolph or Liam Serales-Bohs graudated from high school yet 😂 Darkside has made at least semis since 2014 for 10 straight years.

Janna Hamaker is the worst observer that USA Ultimate has ever had. I've seen terrible calls from her. Look at the call at 4:10
@wiffnelson679313 күн бұрын
Two things: 1) There is another observer on the opposite sideline. Because I don't see Janna make an active signal, we don't know which observer called in/not in. 2) Look again at 4:53, there is an argument that the first point of contact is on the goal line, thus not in the endzone.

From that perspective it looks like he's out, but if you look at the play at 4:10, it's clear that he's in. Take a look at the game between Truck Stop and Pony in the 2022 Club Semifinal, she makes another terrible call when John Randolph fouls on Gus Norrbom This chanel has a video resume of that game, it happens at 7:57 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qICvmXiKlr2eaq8

8:11 A lot happening here. Great throw > questionable travel/no travel > looks like the defender would have got this if not for a gust.

Yeah, that whole leg lifted up on the throw lol.

his toes are still down when he releases, im not sure what that means in terms of rules. also since he doesnt have a mark i dont think it really matters too much at that margin
@rshelmerdine7 ай бұрын
@@Dwelms I agree, I think it's *just* impeccable timing and not a travel, however it's close enough that I'd be telling my team to keep an eye on it - and let him know off field, as a courtesy, so that a travel call next time isn't a surprise.

This was boring ultimate until Brown's point to go up 6-4. Then they got it cooking with the quick pops (a few gratuitous hospital passes thrown in for good measure).
