That 11-11 point has to be the most turns in a single point I've ever seen. Crazy point and a great game!

Really great highlights and great game! Still after 10 years wish the AUDL could play on a field this size. Observers didnt have a good performance, badly missing both of those strip calls influenced the chippiness.

What are the dimensions of this field?

not a fan of the chippiness.. its almost to a point.. i'm wondering if this is even following upa rules.. where was the spirited play? its to a point where.. they have some mindset.. i'm contesting everything and look at the refs to give some call and hope i get the favourable call..

Some terrible calls by players and observers but def a classic.

i'm sorry.. thats called un-spirited play..

Im not atkins fan but how is 9:55 NOT a strip? Atkins clearly has possession, and the defenders leg is clearly not stationary, so it is "moving into position" when Atkins' arm hits it. Doesnt really matter who initiated the contact as far as im aware, because if that were true almost every strip call on markers would be not a foul due to the thrower being the one who initiated contact. Thats obviously not how that rule works so im not sure why this is different
@carcosa_tyrant94447 ай бұрын
you can't just catch a disc and then swing into someone and call a strip. and you need to re-read the rules or have a certified observer explain them to you because you are massively misinterpreting them based on how you talk about strips with markers and throwers.
@user-zg4lp4ep4t7 ай бұрын
Agree, that was a strip!
@caseyw87887 ай бұрын
@@carcosa_tyrant9444 agree with what you are saying, but in this one Atkins is bringing the disc down by his side in a totally natural motion and within his own personal space, its not like he is throwing the disc AT goff. Goff's leg is going across his body. what is Atkins supposed to do here?
@Mellowyellow888825 күн бұрын
@@caseyw8788 disagree with natural motion.. theres no such thing as natural motion.. if i caught it and held up my hand still in the air.. is that also not a natural motion? i should point out the d was already on the way down and landing.. as such he was not "initiating" any contact to cause a strip.. that is the main premise of a strip per the rules.. remember also.. the receiver is not become a "thrower" yet.. as he has yet to land and establish an pivot.. there is no "personal space" rules.. theres a verticality rule.. that doesn't apply here because atkins was able to catch the disc..

Nearly every single call between players went unresolved and went to the observer, creating animosity between both sides in a high stakes game. Why can't this sport simply have an unbiased third party officiate the game aka a referee...
@ATHaz777 ай бұрын
Cuz it’s pretty obvious unless they get someone in the booth looking at replays or put a video board near the field like WUCC they aren’t gonna get the the calls right. This guy has 1000 games observed and is still fucking up calls left and right with the mf knee straps on
@kr7epj4x7 ай бұрын
Glad both of these teams lost.

I’m curious so did you think truck stop deserved to win with that strip call against Dig? Or someone else in your opinion?
@andrewyew17797 ай бұрын
So the middle fingers on live TV alright? Why was that player not ejected?
@carcosa_tyrant94447 ай бұрын
because observers are soft and scared of confrontation and you literally have to start a fight to get ejected. the rules explicitly say if you spike on someone you get ejected and i've seen probably a dozen spikes on opponents in live streamed games that never resulted in an ejection.
@ATHaz777 ай бұрын
Cuz he didn’t bid into the guys back when he had no play on it? It’s a hand signal maybe he’s calling a play for the next D line???

Awesome to see ultimate growing, with players getting more skilled and athletic. Just a bummer the SOTG is being less of an emphasis.

USAU needs real refs for Nationals. A game this good deserves not to be so hard to watch.
@leob.57486 ай бұрын
This sport is build up on fairplay. As long the players are fair and follow the rules, a observer would not even be needed. These both teams might need a social skills training...

9:57 With slo-mo + hindsight... Receiver made the catch. Goff's leg was a foul that caused him to drop the disc. Too bad... Good catch.
@georgelane63506 ай бұрын
Also, he had caught it, made contact with the ground, then dropped it. Foul or not, that's a goal.
