Bruno has played every game for four years for United and Portugal. The guy is burnt out but who replaces him? We needed to get three midfielders in the summer not one. Mainoo is still a kid. Second season syndrome is a phrase for a reason. Eriksen and Casemiro are over the top. We needed another 8 and another 10 Since Mount can’t stay fit. The reality is this squad is still short of 4 or 5 players of top 4 quality but we didn’t have the money / FSR head room to buy them this summer. You can get rid of ETH but that isn’t going to change the shortcomings of ourmidfield. A fully match fit Hoyland would make a difference up front but that will take 3 or 4 games. And by the way Uniteds struggles in front of goal predate ETH. We have only scored over 60 goals in 2 of the last 10 seasons. Unfortunately we are now paying for the appalling pre INEOS recruitment shambles and it’s going to take at least another 2 transfer windows to fix it regardless of who the manager is. The short term is going to be frustrating but under INEOS we at least have people running the club who want to win trophies. Onwards and upwards.

A pathetic embarrassing performance. Just when u think we're getting some momentum going we produce a performance like that. I'm so incredibly pissed off. We got Spurs, Porto & Villa in our next 3 matches & honestly I can't see us winning those games. I said it before there are no excuses for Ten Hag this season & if he's not careful he's gonna get sacked & the way tonight's performance among others it'll be deserved. Bruno needs to be dropped & give Mount a good run of games. No player should be indepensible

We need to build our game in phases. We can see that we’re able to control games to a certain degree now. The defence is much better and now we’ll focus on creating more chances and finishing. We’re playing more direct passes now, no more sideway passing and safe play.

‘There’s nobody there’. United need an out and out striker to tap in goals. We’re relying on wingers and midfielders to achieve the sublime goal in open play. Making life harder for ourselves than it needs too. Defences must fear those natural poachers. Makes them defend deeper. Look over their shoulder and second guessing. In turn this creates more space for midfielders and wingers who can look for threading the ball through, striking or finding someone coming in.

Bruno needs a rest and probably should have been rested tonight. We have had 3 clean sheets with Martinez and de Ligt in defence - Maguire is not really capable of filling in for de Ligt We need Yoro back from injury. I think even Evans has better positional sense than Maguire. But the biggest problem was the lack of quality in passing in the final third - so many of the passes were not on target. I thought that was particularly the case on the few occasions when Rashford and Amad actually ran in behind (not often enough) but didn't deliver decent crosses.

as a twente fan i expected to lose 5-0 before the 2nd half even started. and for years i said ten hag will make it at united, i was very wrong about both

First half was decent, but not enough urgency to get the second and kill the game off. The team is getting better around Bruno, so his wastefulness becomes more intolerable especially when he’s not scoring or assisting. If we can’t get Hojlund going, we might draw a lot of games this season. My metric for progress is not primarily wins. I want 30-50 percent fewer shots conceded, more possession in the final third, more corners, more shots, higher xG. If I see that, I’ll live with the results.

Erik “the Hapless” Hag. He is just not good enough. United can continue to throw all the money they want at Ten Hag and buy up more and more Dutch players, or players who played under him at Ajax. But United are going nowhere. Lose to Spurs and I’d sack him.

It was 89 minutes, a ball looped up and hit Ugarte in the head. That summerized our game today. For me, United is rigid and predictable. Twente applied themselves well. EtH couldn’t break a low block. Many teams will do this against us, put a mid to low block. Twente applied a 4-5-1. Making sure we didn’t play through the middle. OOP, our FB’s didn’t push up to join the press. 4-2-4 press doesn’t work w/o FB’s pushing up. It leaves gaps and it becomes easy to play through. There was no cohesion in the press. After pressing triggers, players didn’t go all at once. EtH is not improving. I’m not referring to results, I’m talking about performance. EtH can’t adapt. Similar patterns to last Palace game. Where, last 30 minutes is a disaster, also where we considered. For me, EtH is still on trial. I’m not convinced about him. He’s not the man for me. He wasn’t supposed to get contract renewal, even though it felt right.

I think it was all really about poor final passes and shots tonight. Almost Every time we got in around the box someone made a bad final pass straight to a Twente player, or else they missed the target. 19 shots and only 5 on target is quite shocking. I don't think you can really blame the manager for that. And Dalot really needs a rest too.

Yes, United were in an awful defensive shape just before the goal, but Ugarte just about got them out of it. All Eriksen had to do was quickly pass back to Onana, but he took a touch, delayed, and United were punished. Too many individual errors, still.

People said Ugarte is going to make us a different team!💀. The fact is that the best defense is great attack and our attack has no bite, so it lets teams of the hook and allows them to get in the game even if we're dominating.

I was perplexed with the team performance. I thought we made some good ball progressing moments thus dominate the possession but woeful in enemy six yard box. Amad, Rashford and Zirkzee had all looks quite dangerous at times but its like a false knife, no sharpness in finishing at all. Bruno is also looks tired and running out of ideas

This is normal this is Ten Hags style of play I don’t know why people can’t understand this. This is it full stop It won’t change no matter what players are on the pitch the football is the same wide open no midfield control very few goals very few clean sheets. This will not change under Ten hag
