To the point explanation of an important orthopaedic problem...My wife had undisplaced calcaneal fracture 10 weeks ago, Orthopaedic surgeon advised immobilisation with crepe bandage, lying down with fractured leg up and walking only when necessary on normal leg using a walker . Now started ankle and foot exercise and some/guarded walking. She feels some pain. Hope it will be better with time. Your valuable guidance please. Thanks.

Chalte time bahut dard hota hai... 1 saal pahile gira tha uus time sirf plaster kiya tha.. kal hi maine MRI kiya hai.. 1 December 2021.. please bataye kya karana padega.? This is my MRI Report. PROTOCOL: Multiplanar MRI of the ankle was performed using T1 weighted spin echo, STIR, T2 weighted spin echo, T2 weighted gradient echo sequences. OBSERVATIONS: Old fracture with ill-defined marrow edema seen in anterior beak and body of calcaneum seen T2W Hyperintense signal seen in talo calaneal ligament and calcaneo fibular ligament with partial fraying of fibres Decrease in tibio talar and talocalcaneal joint space with cartiage thinning seen T2W Hyperintense signal seen in in anterior tibio talar ligament Minimal effusion is seen in the ankle and subtalar joints. Rest of the visualized bones show normal marrow signal.. Rest of the visualised ligaments & tendons are normal in course & signal. The tendo achilles appears normal. Rest of the tibiofibular, subtalar & rest of the visualized joints of the foot appear normal. CONCLUSION: Old fracture with ill defined marrow edema seen in anterior beak and body of calcaneum seen. T2W Hyperintense signal seen in talo calaneal ligmment and calcaneo fibular ligmanent with partial fraying of fibres suggestive of partial tear Decrease in tibio talar and talocalcaneal joint space with cartiage thinning seen suggestive of arthritis of subtalar joints T2W Hyperintense signal seen in in anterior tibio talar ligament suggestive of sprain Minimal effusion is seen in the ankle and subtalar joints.

Sir Thank u for making this informative video. Sir I got communitted fracture of calcaneous (Left) in April 2021. It was operated and ORIF surgery was performed to fix it. A calcaneal plate and six screws (Ti) were used to fix it. It has been more than six months but I am unable to walk without crutches or any support till now. I feel pain in my ankle joint near talus bone and my foot sole has become hypersensitive. My treating surgeon is saying that it will take some more time to be git. Sir plz suggest what should I do? I shall be grateful to you for ur valuable suggestion.
