To filter the report by calendar, is it necessary to have calendar in separate sheets or we can filter it from single sheet? I mean If I want to view the report by Year/Months, is it necessary to have the calendar in separate sheet or we can filter it from the same sheet where Sales Figure & Calendar are available in the same sheet?

It is always a good practice to keep a seprate date table and also have a relationship with sales table

very nicely described but sir I am not able to understand that in DAX function how can we identify what we have put or select to get the output. or In other words I can say that how can I easily understand SYNTAX of any formula because in excel we use to understand and connect easily but in POWER BI I am not able to connect Formula Syntax ..Please help me to understand DAX and formula's syntax so that we can we write any formula easily. See Pankul, same as Excel in Power BI intellisense giving us to enter the syntax of formula we r using. Only issue you are a newbie on Power BI like i was ... Spent more time on Power BI those who have good knowledge of Excel they can easily understood Power Bi. Good Luck

sir I get all value same in the total I want different value for all total for eg. 80 80 80 80 =80 I want result in this format 10 20 30 20 = 80
