The DAX function that you have used for Calculated Measures is not compulsory I think. By using the filter on Order date it will automatically change the Sales slicer.

DAX calculations can be quite complex, involving calculations and aggregations that need to be applied to large datasets. On the other hand, transformations are performed during the data loading phase, which means that the data is already structured and optimized for querying. This pre-processing step makes queries run more efficiently, leading to better performance.
