@@prasadpdrc7323 thanks for your comment, however in govt. / cpwd contracts min. 300kg allowed for M25 grade concrete because according to IS 456 standard concete start from M25. I hope you understand.

So the correct water/cement average ratio should be 50% NOT 0.5% (ref Didar H), otherwise it would be 250ml water per 50kg bag cement !!!!!??? Civil Engineers ... please confirm & correct !! Otherwise, thanks for clarifying, it makes it easier to work out by volume for small DIY jobs !!

As for my point of view of his lecture, he said that 30 litres of water is equal to the ratio of M20 grade with a mix ratio of (1:1.5:3), while 200 litres of water is equal to 1 cubic metre of M20 grade with a mix ratio of (1:1.5:3) 😁

Brother, it is nice that you want to help and explain, but saying "kg" instead of "kilogram(s)" is not helping. Also, get your math done right before explaining to others: a ratio is not expressed in percents although they're closely related. You should have said "the water to cement WEIGHT ratio is 0.5, or 0.5:1" or "the water is 48 to 60% of the cement weight in the mix" or "we add 0.5 liters of water to every kilogram of cement, or 25 liters to a 50-kilogram bag of cement"!
@JavedKhan-ny3pm
@JavedKhan-ny3pm 3 жыл бұрын
You talk differently than writing. You are saying water ratio is between 0.4 to 0.6% and take a number 0.5 which should then be 0.5%. So on one hand you talk percentage and then use a number forgetting about percent which should the number divided by 100. Actually a ratio is never in percentage but a number. So please first you correct yourself, and use proper terminology. Thanks
