Using a table is much much easier
@derbaderb12310 жыл бұрын
Set you function under "y=" then 2nd "table" (top right of the calculator). Then input x values and it will show you the calculated y values in the next column.
@sean67936 жыл бұрын
To add on to this, make sure you do Tblsetup first (hit 2nd then the window key). Makes inputting values much faster if you set the independent variable to ask instead of auto.

You can try putting in larger and larger values to explore the limit at infinity.

x^2 - 9 can be factored into (x+3)(x-3). The (x+3) in the denominator cancels out with the (x+3) in the numerator, leaving x-3 which is essentially a straight line with a "hole" at x=-3. The limit exists (from the left and right), but the function is undefined at x=-3. I'm sure you know this. I love the innovations of the modern calculators. I collect them. But I have a fear that these machines will take away the need to think as humans. Thinking is critical. It is our purpose. This is what AI is leading to. It might take away our purpose. What are your thoughts? These "calculators" are beyond that. They are computers.A computer is not needed to evaluate this limit. I have taken a "refresher" course in Calculus, and I have discovered that as these "calculators" are allowed, the problems given are complicated to an extent that the study becomes "math for math's sake", which really masks the beauty of calculus. Do you agree?
