It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of the auto x values. Thank you!

i just got this calculator, the TI-84 Plus CE and I really appreciate this video! How can I get it back to normal afterwards without manually setting everything back to the numbers it was before? and what is the y4 line for? you didn't get around to it after you addressed it. Just wondering because I tried with no y4 line and .9 and 1.1 values came out as fractions when I tried this. Thanks

To set the table back to normal, click the following: 2ND, WINDOW, and then change the Indpnt to Auto. The Y4 line is for the derivative of whatever is in your Y1. It is for a different unit and not necessary for finding limits numerically. I should not have left it in there for this video. The reason your 0.9 and 1.1 values came out as fractions is because your calculator is set that way. To fix this, you can go to MODE, scroll to ANSWERS: and select DEC. This will automatically make your answers decimals. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need any other help!

Lets say i want to put an absolute value like x-1 at the top of the numerator in the calcuator. How do i do that
@misterozarka4 жыл бұрын
HEZI-T3 You have you press MATH then arrow to the right to the NUM menu. You will see a function called “abs(“ as the first entry. That will help you with getting the absolute value. Does that work?

I did this but have numbers in values of 5 in my X column instead of allowing me to put what I want immediately
@misterozarka5 жыл бұрын
samster101229 Hit 2nd WINDOW and change the Indpnt to “Ask”. That should work now.
@RunningToday776 жыл бұрын
So once I set mine to "ask" and go back to the table, the y sub 1 column disappears!! What am I doing wrong??
@misterozarka5 жыл бұрын
You should only set the Independent to "Ask" and keep the Dependent set to "Auto".
