I don't see nfl QB. In the nfl all this on the run throws isn't gonna work in the nfl edge rushers gonna eat him up, safeties gonna bully him by playing with his eyes. I do give him early Russell Wilson. Because he can make every throw. If he can develop I do see greatness. He just need a faster tempo to the game and the NFL will do that

Yeah everyone is saying the same thing. Yes, the angles are cool, idc about whether or not there's music. What I like, as a non college watcher, is it's not just a bunch of wide open 8 and 9 routes downfield. I try to get a feel for the prospects and when I see highlight reels of clean pockets and wide open deep balls all I think is "well this isn't going to translate to the Giants"

He doesn’t look like he’d adapt well to faster game speed and better defenses he looks like a good college qb who will struggle at the next level when he’s no longer the most talented athlete on the field. He takes way too much to throw the ball he forces passes, he stares down his receivers really hard, and half of these clips are him hitting wide open receivers after the db blows coverage.
@CyanideChrist420

I'm not sure what quarterback you're watching, but hes probably a bit more polished than Mahomes was in college. And I'm a Chiefs fan. I'm not saying he'll have the same career as Pat, but I think he has the talent to be AT LEAST a top 10 QB in the league. Also, theres several times in not just these highlights but other reels, of him hitting receivers under duress. Running away from the defense. Throwing side arm. Throwing jump passes. His coordinator for the upcoming season is Shane Waldron who conducted one of the greatest passing games of all time in his time with the Rams and revived the career of Geno Smith. And yes, I understand that I nor anyone else will change your mind about him. But just come back to me around this time next year and let me know if you're opinions still the same. Be well my friend. Also, they said the same things about Mahomes.

@@CyanideChrist420 im not saying he’s going to be a bust, or he’s trash, or anything like that, I just see a very raw talent that doesn’t look quite ready for the next level at the moment. I think he’ll sit behind someone next year and then get a chance to start and hey I hope he does well. I just see everyone hyping him up like he’s the second coming of Jesus and that we need to dial it back a little bit.

First read, first read, first read then a TERRIBLE decision throwing it into triple coverage. Yep. He's a Bears QB if I have ever seen one. 😂 100% BUST Edit the proceeds to throw two more picks if in the NFL and still most of his throws are WIDE open first reads. That WILL NOT happen in the NFL. Drake Maye should be the clear #1 pick. Film doesn’t lie if you know what you’re looking at. Way more impressed with Maye’s decision making and footwork.
@larrymcardle
@larrymcardle 2 ай бұрын
Film doesn't lie? Maye looks really good, but what I see with him is a LOT of clean pockets and a longer windup. CW has a much quicker release, throws from more arm angles/platforms, and he has a much better feel of the pocket. There's a ton of videos out there of CW playing in structure, but most highlight reels are of him having to play hero ball because they generate more clicks. If CW were Maye's height instead of 6'1", even though CW has larger hands, there wouldn't even be a hint of an inclination towards Maye. And unless the Vikings manage to trade up for Maye, he'll be going to a much worse team (DC or NE) than CW, so he'll also have a tougher road to success.

Yeah I give neither Williams nor Maye nor Daniels anything more than 50/50 odds…. It’s just more likely that one of the 1st 8 qb’s will be good, but which one I honestly think McCarthy or penix have as good of a chance as CW or JD…..it’s all about getting where you’re fitting.. see Brock purdy for details
@larrymcardle
@larrymcardle 2 ай бұрын
@@TheVesselFromThe9 Williams is going to a far better destination than Maye or Daniels are currently projected to. The best bet McCarthy has is to go someplace where he doesn't have to start until year two or three. The best chance of Penix and Nix are to fall far enough to go to a really good organization, like happened to Lamar Jackson.
