These highlights don't even show the missed catches that were right on the money. There was a deep down the field throw to woods that he just whiffed that should have been a TD. Running to the right TD pass that hit TE Stogner in the chest that should have been a TD and like 2 more deep passes that weren't TDs, but should have been caught .... Can't you blame them, though? Oklahoma had two QBs in back-to-back years that are currently playing elite levels of play on division contending teams in the NFL (Baker-Browns, Kyler-Cardinals,) which can spell success with Riley's philosophy towards quarterbacks. These QBs both won the Heisman while wearing the crimson-clad uniform of Oklahoma. That gravitas will only be a strong attraction for a highly sought-after QB prospect like Williams to get that kind of result at that program. Especially the staff that taught these QBs to fulfill their potential, which led them to be drafted first overall in the NFL draft and win the Heisman. If you looked into why Williams chose Oklahoma, that is the big reason. He noticed what Riley did with Baker, Kyler, and Jalen. Riley created an atmosphere where these QBs had enormous success. Caleb Williams is basically a Heisman caliber QB on the right program, with the right coaches and philosophy that the past has shown, wins Heismans. Williams wants that kind of success and guidance, from what I am seeing. The years to come will be interesting to watch for Williams. We might see one or two Heismans from him if Williams keeps playing the way he is. Because he may be a freshman now. But Williams is only getting better as years go by.

Feel bad for Spencer. This will humble him. He has had a great life with not many downs. He’s had privilege growing up in Phoenix, big house and good parents. He was a star on Netflix and was number one overall at QB. Everything was handed to him. Now, he faces adversity. Everyone in life goes through ups and downs. His best friend Nico Mannion faced it when he was drafted later than expected with the warriors. He then went to Italy to play. These kids get everything handed to them. Let’s see how this plays out.

Looks like Mr. Williams is going to be gifted the Heisman bow-tied. Rattler's demotion (Okie) and Howell's surprising struggles (NC) have cleared the way. Would still like to see Howell do more with his arm, than run. This will knock him down to mid-level Round 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft, most likely -- what a pity.

The offense was definitely not lacking this game besides maybe a possession or two in the 2nd quarter that should've lead to at least one more touchdown(that dropped pass in the end zone) Defense was a bit up and but overall I'd say it was a very convincing showing by the Sooners!

And he should have had one more. First incompletion of the game was a dropped TD pass. And the officials only called blatantly egregious pass interference on TCU. There were three big no calls including a deep ball to Mims where the defender had his arm pinned like a vice so he couldn't raise it to catch a perfectly throw ball. They only called takedowns.
