I’m a Texas fan. I was thrilled when Riley left. As I read more about him the less excited I am. I didn’t know Riley is as unaccomplished as he truly is. He got handed the keys to a loaded Oklahoma team from Bob Stoops. I realized he actually hasn’t done anything. As a Coordinator and Coach he is 0-4 in the CFP. #1. A Blowout against Brent Venables and Clemson. #2. He choked away a huge lead against Georgia. #3. He got blow out against Bama, Saban out of respect to OU let off the gas at Half. #4. He gets his doors blown off against LSU. From what I can tell about the guy, and this is from a Character standpoint; He lacks Character, Backbone, Is Arrogant, Afraid of Competition he would be facing week in and week out against SEC teams who would figure out his system. And he rides the Coat-Tails of Two Generational , Heisman Winners (Who he didn’t recruit). He picked the weakest P5 Conference to move to. Now he gets to completely rebuild a USC program that is in shambles. He will get 2-3 years to right the ship out there. If he doesn’t the heat will be on. If he does manage to have some 9-3, 10-2, or even an undefeated Season and make the Playoff. If he does, he will get destroyed by whatever team with a Defensive Pulse. He loses big games, and small ones. He’s 0-4 in the Playoff, you’d think he could win one of those. I kind of feel bad for Williams as he’s getting played. He’s going to start for a terrible USC team in a half empty stadium then hopefully split for the NFL as fast as possible. What Oklahoma has done with Stoops, Venables, and his home run Hires, (Lebby who put up more yardage in the SEC than Lincoln Riley and the Gooners did in the Big 12) Venables also got an outstanding recruiter and DC from Clemson. Also got Bamas CB Coach. They replaced Williams instantly with a QB I wish we had at Texas in Dillon Gabriel, plus a 4 Star QB and another. They’ve also been picking up Defensive commits, transfers etc that are monsters. They still have a top 10 Class somehow. At the end of the day, I’m more worried about this new Oklahoma under Venables than I was about Riley. Idk how you bastards always end up with the better end of the deal but it drives us insane. I honestly think Lincoln Riley is Lane Kiffin 2.0. I’d bet money on it. It’ll be fun to watch him show the world what he really is. Hot damn!

I am honestly asking. What has CW done that was so great besides the Texas game. He looked good against a shite TTU team. OU struggled against Kansas with CW at the helm. He looked like shit against Baylor "he had like 3 or 4 int with under a 100 yds passing". He didn't look that good against OSU. If Oregon wasn't destroyed due to covid the game would have been closer. I'm not saying CW is bad I am also saying he is not as great as everyone thinks. He reminds me of Tebow.

We are Oklahoma. Since the debacle of the 90s, OU has ALWAYS persevered and not fallen off the map of the CFB world. Sure, there are “down” years with a few more losses than Sooner Nation is used to, but, more often than not, OU just reloads. In regard to 2022 and beyond, we just hired potentially, the best DC coach in the country as our HC. He, in turn, has hired some of the best in the business as his staff, both in coaching and recruiting. From all aspects, it looks like OU can, and will, surprise the pundits in 2022 and beyond. Natty possible? Personally, I think we may be a couple or recruiting classes away from that level, but I said the same thing in 1999 with Stoops first team, who won it all in 2000.
@-sensibleChris3 жыл бұрын
Probably gonna have to let BV get some of those DT monsters recruited first, but I think BV will have a much better chance of winning it all than Riley. Riley's teams were giving up 60 points per game in the playoffs. That's what happens when a former OC still thinks like an OC, and can't prepare an entire team to play the biggest game of their lives. He took head coaching pay, and never stopped being an OC.

Dillon Gabriel will do great as a starting quarterback for Oklahoma... I'm more anxious to see how we replace players that entered the NFL draft. CW was a 5-2 starter with lots of potential just like Spencer Rattler Rhett Bomar and Trevor Knight had. Georgia Bulldogs just proved that you don't need a five-star quarterback to win a National Championship. So I'm more excited to see how the rest of the team shapes up!

Great video guys. Ok. My opinion is this: Caleb, thank you for giving us six good games of excitement. The first three was great, the last three was so so. And also, thank you for even playing in the bowl game. But you should have done is just announce once the bowl game was over that you're possibly heading to USC. Also, shout out to OU for trying to get him the best NIL deal, I get it wasn't good enough, so they got proactive and got Gabriel. I agree with Brandon when he said that if you're married, you shouldn't be trying to go on dates. And you guys just confirmed what I was talking about last night with a few guys. You have two types of kids today. You have program kids, who are going to programs no matter who's the coach. And then you have the kids who goes to schools that's only there for the coach. So it is what it is. I gotta disagree slightly on the QB discussion. Riley had Baker, Kyler and Jalen. All three who are naturally talented that came in and was there no longer than a year or so who went on to the NFL. Even if Jalen stayed at Alabama, I believe he still would've gotten drafted, it may have been in the later rounds. But they came there because of the system Riley ran right? But he also had four QBs in that same system that left. Kendall, Mordecai, Rattler all high profile players that left for other schools. And then Chandler Morris who transferred in. And you was right again about Morris and Kendall Austin leaving OU. Riley tried to hold both of them hostage to keep them from transferring within the conference. Complained and moaned, and it took Kendall's dad coming out and saying something to Riley about letting his son leave. Those four guys were in the same system and didn't have the same success as the other three I mentioned. Now Mordecai went to SMU and is tearing it up. And with Lebbey coming, and with his system at Ole Miss, who's been better statistically than Riley these past two years, we would have hoped that Caleb would've stayed and continued having success. But in the words of Bob Stoops, not one person is bigger than OU. A lot of these guys may leave because they want to be the center of attention, but we're all about a team culture here. Wish Caleb well in wherever he goes, but OU has bigger fish to fry. Gabriel to start day one!

If Gabriel gets drafted before Williams, I'll say I was wrong, but I see NO WAY that happens. Williams is a bona-fide superstar/Heisman candidate and will thrive in the weak Pac-12. If you’re an OU fan and you’re hating on CW you’re a loser. He beat Texas for us and if you’re a real OU fan that’s literally enough! Legend forever for that and also got Bob his revenge on Oregon(for those saying he led us on or whatever, y’all lead yourselves on he never said he was coming back and I respect that he stayed for OUr guys and seniors)! So thank you Caleb! As an OU fan I’ll keep rooting for my Sooners no matter what and hating on a kid doesn’t make anyone a bigger fan lol

I think USC will have a hard time with Oregon and Utah and possibly UCLA. As has been proven not just in bowl games but the past 3 years LR doesn't do well against defensive minded coaches or programs. How this has gone down was ugly, but honestly in long run he did OU a favor. Let's move on with our exciting program and USC can fall in the ocean for all I care. BOOMER!

Gabriel probably is QB1 fosho if Dart doesn't come but love competition....Gabriel was gonna have to compete with DTR if he stayed at UCLA so I see no problem in bringing Dart in....and maybe that TE from usc too, idk much about him but 1 less good player TBOW can use, or I'm his case not utilize smh

USC returns every starter except 1 on oline and he’s going to NFL we had one of the better olines in the pac 12 and allowed 18 sacks last year. OU allowed 31 sacks so how does our oline suck?

LOOK!!, LR did NOT develope ANY QB except Rattler and we all know how that turned out in 2021. The 2 Heisman winners were devloped by Stoops and Hurts was a grad transfer that Alabama developed. LR had a power house team turned over to him and he slowly ran the program down over his years at OU. We all know that LR knew he was leaving about half way through the year. How in the world did LR talk his assistant coaches into leaving OU to go to USC in less than 12 hours!!????? LR's resume is shit!!!

Riley ran to Southern Cal and attempted to gut OU on his way out. Oklahoma is better off without him since the SEC is on the horizon. Caleb Williams has a winning NCAA/NIL lottery ticket, and I don't blame him if he wants to cash it in. Thanks for the memories CW and good luck! You will get to show off your wheels behind that Southern Cal oline!

Wow, the 1st guy accusing LR of having a “bitch fit” is hilarious considering he’s clearly the one who’s having a “bitch fit” that LR left. And don’t get it twisted, Venables would take any top line Clemson transfer or assistant coach in a heartbeat if they wanted to come; he just doesn’t have that kind of juice.

Well you know what they say What comes around goes around Your true colors always come out Especially being from Oklahoma Lincoln Riley speaks with a fork and tongue But I'm definitely a firm believer in A person's word And Lincoln Riley's word is pure lies And liars things have a tendency to come back around 360゚ This will follow him around through his whole coaching career that he is a liar it will affect is affect the way people look at it as a coach As a person and as a family man husband father etcetera So if you'll lie about all of this that has transpired How we knew how he felt about Oklahoma was totally trash and lies And you can't respect a person is it a person or trust a person a state person if you can't trust their word your word is your bond and that's the only thing in life nobody can take away from you It is what it is but no fear Oklahoma will come out on top Because sometimes evil has its way But I believe in the ultimate power and his name is God His son has already beat the evil one And went to hell and took the keys And remember we need money to exist but money is the rule of all evil and evidently that's what's happening But he has to live with that decision Mr. Lincoln Riley It's hard to be A leader when you're word don't mean nothing and you're a backstabber And that my friend will follow you the rest of the days of your coaching career and your life Cause the devil went down to Georgia and got his tail kicked And remember one thing God gave you that talent and he can Definitely take it away I'm not your judge so you don't have to worry about me Boomer sooner
