No matter who’s returning, no matter how many stars a player has…it needs to be proven on the field. We have players returning on D who have had question marks. Washington has given up a lot at his position. Just because he’s coming back as “experienced” means nothing. He gave up many 3rd and long or was called for PI because he was beat. Think the D line will have more success getting into the back field and causing disruption which we did not have last year

Dasan 100% will play whenever he's healthy. He isn't buried in the depth chart, he's coming off injury

Woodi hit his ceiling 2 yrs ago, be real. He's a Good CB, not great nowhere near elite. He is who he is. You better PRAY anyone and everyone takes his spot. Thats called improvement. Period. Remove your feelings and use your brain. WE WANT SOMEONE TO UPGRADE THAT POSITION EVERY DAY. Our CB play has been in his hands for 4-5 yrs now. How would you grade that position during his starting tenure?

Sucks that Caleb Hicks got bounced down the RB depth chart. Was hoping to see him get some reps. We shall see. But, would also love to see Tatum show his stuff early, not in the 3rd quarter of the Texas game.

We gave up a lot of chunk plays in the back half of last season. The defense needs to play better. It’s been ridiculous to see the mental breakdowns. Wide open areas in our zone defense. Missed tackles and little to no pass rush. I know what my eyes tell me and this defense needs more consistent play

If we can play like we did vs Texas last year . Bc we will play several teams similar to that offense . We got to ewers 5 times must get more sacks from front 4 . Sacks help run defense numbers also . Not just rush wb get to them

Walker has improved according to venebles . Walker played 8th most snaps in 2023 defense. Health , in the 2 losses Danny and Peyton didn’t play much and Williams missed several games

Eathon had more Qb pressure then anyone and will lead tem in sacks this year

Those 2 D Tackles eating up blockers and providing push is going to be a problem for Off Lines. Should open up our Defensive Ends to get to the QB.

Also, you cannot afford to give up 4th quarter trash yards and TD's against teams. Has to be a defensive frame of mind not to give up anything!!

OU defense should easily be in top 20 defense this season although the OU schedule is top 3 in difficulty
