Exactly. Can't remember the last time I was actually terrified by a horror game, instead of cheap jumpscares. Like the perfect mix of stealth, platforming, horror and suspense. Most stealth games have you preying on someone until you kill them, this is the opposite; you're sneaking to avoid being killed. I especially like the lack of jumpscares, you're still terrified but in a more subtle, lingering way.

For me I get why it didn't get much attention. Design wise, oh my god top notch. Atmosphere you are right again fucking top notch. But the game is 1. too short. I beat it in a single night, so because I was hungry for more (haha get it?) i got the DLC for free from Gamestop. But the DLC "Secrets of The Maw" answered next to nothing about the overall lore. Other than we ate some nameless kid who if we didn't know about, we wouldn't have even cared. It adds very little to the story because he's just a random kid. But the DLC again was also too short even if you play back to back. I had alot of fun but it ended just as i was getting so involved. 2. Silent Narrative. I personally enjoy this, Limbo, Inside, those are great games with a silent narrative that you kinda have to figure out yourself. But not everyone likes this, most people want definitive answers, not 30 KZbin videos about the theories behind certain scenes. Again I like this kinda thing because it opens discussions but it may not be the most popular thing. 3. Short Shelf Life. This is a game that is very easy to 100% complete, it takes barely any effort. And once you've done that, there is no incentive to ever play it again. It's a game that's forgotten after awhile, and then 3 years later you find it and think "Oh wow I remember this, I'll play it again, it was fun!" Other than that you just watch videos on KZbin. I personally like this game and it was worth the buy. but again it has its flaws like any other game and I can see why it's not like to talk of the town yknow? but that's ok because then we know everyone is missing out.

I love this series so much. That's why this ending killed me more than it should have. He did so much shit to help six and he basically became her sacrifice to complete her transformation in the end. @@nealkelly9757 Gameplay wise yes, you throw meat to distract it. In terms of killing it, along with appearance are different. Kaernks are killed with crates or barrels. The Granny is killed with a TV thrown into the water. Finally, the Kaernk is an invisible fish monster, and the concept art portrays it as a mutated shark. The Granny is just a giant mutated human with long arms.

If you're caught, the chefs either chop you, toss you in a stove, drop you in a boiling pot, or stuff you in a fish. Finally, it's all but spoken when the gluttonous guests try to devour you. Six may be a starving killer, but she has her own sets of morals. She either doesn't want to "betray" her people, or become her enemy.

After playing this game thrice a time i am glad to share the real story of little nightmares that i came to know after researching all the photographs throughout the game. Spoiler Alert! The story begins with a 9 year old girl "six" who found herself in unknown place called "The prison". Six is the daughter of the alchemist named as " The Lady " who used to be the Incharge of "MAW". now many people get confused about " The Maw ". Maw is actually a ship but of gigantic size & only small portion of it visible over the surface of sea which usually looks like an Island with a tower. This gigantic ship "MAW" has ability too appear anywhere mysteriously & all the little nightmares used to happen here itself. six was sent to the prison under the order of THE LADY . Where u can see many other Children either dead or prisoned . For making her work easy THE LADY has several team members or you can say 'Monsters' . first was JANITOR who used to take care of prison although he is blind but have a great smell sense & extremely long hands . Janitor didn't kill any kid he just captured the kids in the cage & those who are grown enough to be cook was passed to the twin chefs as serving to the apetite guests. "Twin Chefs" are the backbone of MAW . They made varities of dishes including childrens flesh or meat which is a great deal for an apetite Guests . The whole ship MAW is generally based on steam power Engine for generating energy & you can see the abundance of coal throghout the engine section of ship in the last DLC. Now still question arises that why That women doing all these creepy things ?? as earlier said The lady is an alchemist & MAstered in creating dark magic spells . The Lady is also a obese only from her face & she seriously looks ugly thats why she always used too cover her face with a mask . You can see her real face in LAst DLC which is kinda fatty and odd looking face but earlier she was Beautiful lady & have a nice family too but then something mysterious happens & she lost her beauty maybe due to obesity . she uses magic dark spells & have tendency to retract soul from any living being for immortality . she invites guests & serve infinte buffet including childrens flesh & meat so that MAW remain popular & she can feed the soul of her guest,s later on for her immortality. now again come back to "six" the yellow raincoat she wears is actually taken from other girl body who found mysteriously dead so it is possibility that six is not the daughter of The Lady rather the girl from which she taken a coat was the real daughter of The Lady . On continuing her journey in the maw six interacts with a small cute creatures named as "nome,s" . Those childrens who trying to surpass The lady were transformed into normes. The only way to relax them is too give them a hug & the norm that six eats in the end of the game once a boy & coincidencly placed in the same prison but on different cage . The Moral of little nightmares is about how child trafficking snatches there innocense from their childhood & can how the brutal murderer can be cute at the same time & this is utter reality of our world childrens were taken away from there parents & were forced to live in the darkness with a fear that we can only imagine in our "LITTLE NIGHTMARES". IN the end SIX is the new Alchemist & maybe in future she acts opposite just like ALEX MERCER FROM PROTOTYPE 1.

So in the main part of the game (what is shown in the video is all DLC) Six goes on an adventure to go to God knows what, and in turn she meets friendly creatures, called "Nomes". Like you see in the video Nomes are actually kids that were transformed by the hideous women who seems to run the ship (the place where everything takes place in the game). These Nomes are very timid and hold all the characteristics of a normal, scared, child. Six constantly becomes hungry, whether for food or for something else, we don't know. So eventually she meets the boy that we play as in the DLC, who doesn't know any better but to just trust Six. The boy tries to offer her a sausage, but Six instead bites of a chunk of flesh off his neck which obviously kills him.

Basically this is supposed to blow people's minds because in the main part of the game we only know that Six eats a random Nome, but this DLC reveals who that Nome was, and what Nomes really are, and most importantly that there were kids here to begin with, all of them facing the same life threatening adventures and all failing either becoming food or being turned into Nomes. Well everyone except for a certain little girl.

@@youngveggies6558 It's not an adventure. Well I guess escaping is, but she didn't want to board the ship. In the mini comics she was kidnapped by some guy with a sagging face and brought against her will. I'm surprised with this route because for the longest time it was hinted that Six and Geisha had some connection. The developers said it wasn't a mother daughter thing, but we do see pictures of Six in her room.

If you like this you should play the game Little Nightmares, look at the gameplay, or look at the little lore there is. It's some pretty interesting stuff. Of course I don't control what you do but I recommend doing any of these options.

Six is the main character of Little Nightmares. So basically this DLC shows the backstory of how this guy, or the Runaway kid, became a gnome and be eaten by Six, who's the kid in a yellow raincoat.

I know I'm making this comment 10 months after you made yours and by now, you probably watched this series so you know everything but lemme just explain what the story of Little Nightmares is all about if you still doesn't know: Basically, in the original series, you play as the kid in that yellow raincoat named "Six", while in this DLC of the game, it covers the story of The Runaway Kid (The fanbase calls him "Seven"), who, surprisingly (*Spoilers ahead!*) Got turned into a Nome by The Lady and fails to defeat her, but then as it turns out, he is also the same Nome who offered Six the sausage that was laying on the floor at the end of the story, only to get eaten afterwards.

It definitely looks like Six intentionally drops Mono, but why did she let him fall? Well, now that he is no longer wearing a mask or hat, Six is able to see Mono’s face clearly. She looks at him directly before dropping him, likely spotting the resemblance to the Thin Man. She now sees him as a threat and uses the opportunity to take him out. It is Six’s betrayal that ironically leads Mono to become the Thin Man. If she didn’t drop him, then his fate may have been different.

As someone who is rather thalassophobic, I can feel you honestly, I think I believe in a lot of weird stuff such as a weird looking creature that I think might possibly exist just cause I saw a fanart of it on Google by accident.
