This is a definitely a biased set of announcers. It truly makes u want unbiased announcers like Ken and Mick, best in the biz. It was an obvious penalty, but the announcers were too biased to even entertain that being a penalty. The announcer actually said the call cost them the game, while implying that it was a bad call. The extra player on the ice and a bad line change cost them the game. Could it have been overlooked, sure. Should it have been called, 100%. When the guy who came in was able to affect the play like he did, and they still had 4 guys on, obvious too many men penalty. Quit excusing a bad play by your team for the loss. If u make a mental error, thats on the players not the refs.

He was more than cheating the change a bit, he was a country mile from the bench and was lazily making his was back. Refs allow them to cheat a bit, but that was egregious.

How so? If u make a change that causes an advantage, which it did, its a penalty. Watch the replay, they had 4 guys on the ice. The guy who subbed in stopped the play. It was an obvious call when u see the angle shown.

@@dcl97yah, but the players were nowhere near the play and were clearly not engaged in the play. There are many things that they could technically call penalties if they want, but for an overtime penalty, that was pretty weak to call. It’s not even an exciting win if I’m Detroit. It killed the endgame excitement over a skater skating slightly slower than normal to the bench.
