Thank you for this video! My Dad worked for the Transit and is mentioned in this video (8:30) - and he was able to see this video last year - about 2 months before he passed away....so thank you! He was the senior signals person and his passion in life were trains.

Thank you Christina! I am deeply touched by your story. My dad, Jack Boorse, had the same passion, and he recorded this video, and was apparently standing in the room with your father (although unfortunately did not pan the camera over far enough to get a picture of him on camera). My dad died in 2012 and I struggled to find a way to preserve his legacy and interest in rail transit. This channel is my memorial to my father, and it would mean a great deal to him that the videos he recorded (sometimes I was with him, but unfortunately not this time) are being widely seen and shared among other enthusiasts. The fact that you were able to show it to your father before his passing gives special meaning to the purpose of this website. If you are interested, please visit the rest of my dad's archive at sites.google.com/site/jackboorsearchive/. I hope that it might give you a way to further connect to your father's memory. -- Mike Boorse

@@JackBoorseArchive Mike, thank you for sharing the story of your Dad! I am sure our father's would have been best buds, sharing their passion of trains! I will certainly check out the other videos. All the best!

The original U2's numbered 2001 - 2083, 2101 and 2102 were in operation and now in 2020 they are in the process of retirement

@ 5:00 AC car 3002 drives by.... Now that's wicked!! Later renumbered 2102... It's been decommissioned from revenue service and now a parts car for 2101 that serves as a inspection vehicle.

How come in the 1995 video the trains only had two cars?
@rezakarim87742 жыл бұрын
I think because the 1995 was made out of rush hour. During rush hour trains would be 3 cars but 2 in other times. Like pre covid. Where we would get 4 cars during rush hour and stampede but 3 in other times.

There were some Sunday's when one-car trains existed at that time and they weren't training cars
