Based on your videos, I'd choose Calgary for its quieter, less crowded and less commuting time benefits. Glad that you've made friends quickly, too.

Calgary definitely has that small town vibe. Most people are content with this. I think Calgary is a beautiful city. However, it was a little too slow paced for me. I couldn’t hack the winters, headed over to Van. Enjoy this semi-new adventure. All the best.

That's fair, its not for everyone. Thank you - I wish you all the best out in Vancouver as well.

Coming from Toronto myself i felt that Toronto is much colder than Calgary because of the windchill and dry winter. But yes you cant deny that snow is early here 😅

My only issue with Calgary is that the city is too suburban and downtown is not very vibrant for a city of Calgary's size. Especially compared to say Vancouver, when Vancouver was the same size as Calgary. If they could make downtown vibrant again, I think Calgary would be great.

You've touched on many points which really summarized the differences. It is basically the differences between a large metropolitan like Toronto vs a medium sized city like Calgary. People that complained Calgary is boring only have themselves to blame, it's up to the individual to find things that they like. Commute time is great in Calgary mostly if you live are in the 'inner city', otherwise the suburbs feel like any other cities in North America. Calgary's restaurants are a bit costly, then again you can't really compare with Toronto since they have more competition. Anyways enjoy the Chinook and melting snow !!!
@FrankHuynh27 күн бұрын
Thank you! Enjoying the chinook this week. It's warm! Cannot complain about the commute so far either haha!

Is it Rogers internet used in Calgary? How stable is the wifi?
@FrankHuynh26 күн бұрын
I believe it's shaw-rogers over in Calgary when I was looking into internet. I actually went with a different carrier, so unfortunately I can't answer

@FrankHuynh which internet do you have? Is the best one for doing Zoom with large audiences and similar practices?
@TestyMcTestypants24 күн бұрын
You have a choice between Shaw-Rogers or Telus. Speeds and stability with either are good. Customer service sucks equally. There are some smaller players in the area as well, but they're reselling the other two.

Coming from Europe I absolutely love Calgary. It's a big city with a small town feel. Yes, downtown and nightlife are a little boring but the suburbia and road network are absolutely amazing. The only problem is the homeless and junkies everywhere around C-train and downtown is infestated with them. But I guess its a typical problem for any Canadian city.

Hello Frank, if you visited Italy you would love their tomato & mozzarella cheese dishes. They're cars such as Ferrari are nice, as they have all leather interiors, crafted in Italy. One model of the Ferrari is the Ferrari Spider with 8 cylinder engine. Let me know how you like Italian pasta & Ferrari's.
