Awesome man. He lived down the street from my grandparents. My cousin hung out/grew up with his daughter, and took me down to his house Christmas '81 when I was a kid to meet him. I was a huge race fan, so I knew I was meeting a LEGEND. Martha and Glenn were there. He sent me home with some treasures, and an autographed Polaroid pic.

My favorite Ned Jarrett memory was the 93 Daytona 500 Calling his son Dale to the first of Dale's 3 Daytona 500 wins...

The Dale and Dale show! You know who I am pulling for! I was never mad for Ned pointing out Dale Jarrett, even if he was running 27th!

I tried to drum up NED JARRETT FOR PRESIDENT throughout the late 70s all the way to 2000 lol. He has all of the tools. He would look great on a$25 bill too

Ned Jarrett is a down home southern boy but so damn articulate at the same time, that's what made him such a great race announcer! He was truly a great racer, the Jarrett family is the most underrated family in NASCAR.
