I have looked at soooo many videos and articles and none of them made it as simple as you did. It's taken me weeks to figure out how the hell to do it and had I found this video in the first place, I wouldn't have spent so much on unnecessary upgrades. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Just came across this as im a firm believer in, " if its not broke do not fix it " and thats been the case since i got my cr10s pretty much on release maybe 7 years ago. never touched anything until i started having under extruding. this was a great simple video and im now back up and running. thank you.

@@Awesome3DPrintz yeah as Much as I love my newer resin printers this cr10s is a workhorse and now actually feels like it’s printing better than ever. So again thank you :)

Original model CR10: I don’t have the options on the screen to change the e steps. How do I change it? Slicer?
@Awesome3DPrintz2 жыл бұрын
you don't change it in the slicer. you either need to update your firmware or you use something like prontoface to send the g commands via a console.

When i go through your steps at the 4:00 min mark yours says 413.4 mine says zero. Im on an ender 5 pro. I believe i zeroed it out and thats why i cant print anything anymore can you help?
@Awesome3DPrintz3 жыл бұрын
set them to 100 so it is extruding something then do an estep calculation as detailed in the video
@johnnysmoothcanton3 жыл бұрын
@@Awesome3DPrintz im still confused sorry .So i put at 100 i had 8mm left my esteps is 93, 93 x 100 then 9300/8=1,1625?
@Awesome3DPrintz3 жыл бұрын
@@johnnysmoothcanton by 8mm left you mean it was 8mm short of the 100mm you told it to extract? if so you divide the esteps by 92
@Awesome3DPrintz3 жыл бұрын
if that is the case your esteps should be 101 if your starting esteps were 93

This worked great on my 3 pro, but my cr-10 varies about 35mm each time I run the test even when I don't change anything. I replaced the bowden tube and nozzle, is there something else I should be looking at?
@Awesome3DPrintz2 жыл бұрын
if your results are not consistent then it has to be a fault, maybe start with checking your extruder for damage check spring tension failing that check your belt tension. if it was consistently out by the same margin you would need to tune your steps per mm on X, Y, and Z axis. good luck

Hi. I set mine for 450 and I only extruded 45 mm what do I do!?
@Awesome3DPrintz2 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard all the instructions are in the video the estep number is different for every extruder type. although that does sound very low i would check for a blockage maybe.

THis is a great video and makes it very easy, however, i am having an issue where i am under extruding and i dont want to do these steps because i fear it is not calibration issue, but a clog somewhere, i have replaced the bowden tube and the nozzle and yet it is not coming out right so i still have some work to do...either way thanks for the video
@Awesome3DPrintz3 жыл бұрын
the only things left to check is the throat and the extruder it's self. Some of the machines with plastic extruders the arm is known to crack so worth checking. Also check your throat material can build up inside if it is an all metal throat check your retraction settings they shouldn't be more than 2 or 3 mm .

@@Awesome3DPrintz after a bunch of testing I found it was the nozzle, I bought a bunch of harnded steel nozzles and apparently they expanded in unexpected heat and became too narrow and too long

do you have to edit anything in your slicer also? or does this fix it for everything you print from now on?
@Awesome3DPrintz4 жыл бұрын
you shouldnt need to change any slicer settings unless you switch to a different material such as TPU then you might need to change your flow setings
