As I suspected the system has been recalled. There was an image on social media of Caliburns response regarding the issue. I typed it out below: Since the launch of our Caliburn EVO system last Wednesday we have seen extraordinary demand for the system, and we would like to thanks everyone that has embraced our brand and the product so far. We have been made aware thanks to the proactive feedback from Darts Corner, our exclusive distributor, that some of customers have experienced issues with the system and we would like to apologize for this. Our goal is to ensure every customer has the best experience with their products and therefore we decide to temporarily pause sales of EVO point system as we work on rectifying the issues that have been raised. We are immediately working on an updated solution and we are confident the product will relaunch bigger and better! We will keep everyone updated with our progress. We thank you for your support and understanding and to the team at Darts Corner for their proactivitiy and partnership Calibrun.

I received this kit a few days ago and saw the problems. I emailed Darts Corner and this is part of what I received back. The issue with the Caliburn items are that they don't fit certain barrels (Winmau or Red Dragon), they fit but then the spigot is snapping in the barrel. If you don't have Winmau or Red Dragon darts then you won't see a problem and we have hundreds of customers who are extremely happy with them. Hope people find this helpful.

I bought 4 sets to try. Fitted to first set of trial darts with no issues whatsoever and they’ve worked great so far. Second set the tolerance was out so the points went all the way in by hand so won’t stay in once thrown. I’ve used loctite which helped for two of them but one just came loose again. Not great that they’ve pulled all the stock because that renders them useless if you need a spare spigot or insertion bar. Lovely quality though and the points look great at a fair price to their competition. I’ve got over 160 sets in my collection and have tried most tapered options in one shape or form. Target storm my favourite but too pricy given how many darts I repoint. Will be interesting to see what the revised set up is like. Perfect 9 are lovely points but only available in 34mm exposed length.

I bought a set for my Unicorn Phase 5 LPs and they fit perfectly. The starter pack I had came with 3 different sizes of spigots 2.33, 2.34 and 2.35mm. The spigots were gold / brass and not the silver you had so it could be that they’ve made changes since your review. The 2.35 was the best fit for my darts. I’ve had them in for a few weeks now and not had any issues. Edit: Turns out I got the V2 version.

@@DartsReviewChannel I bought a set of 40mm points. I didn’t realise that i needed a fitting kit so I’ve done it arse about elbow. Having bought and fitted them I prefer them to my RD trident points although the Evo leaves a small lip that will nick your flights slightly.

Interesting idea Darren, i purchased a few sets to try them out, the trouble is there's so many different dart drill depths for the points, as well as diameter of the points themselves, the chance of a set fully working for you are not great, i got a set for my Harrow V-Wings Anniversary model, the spigot went in ok, I then screwed the Caliburn point in & they just pulled out by hand, so totally useless for that particular dart as the points are around 2.38mm wide, too wide for the Caliburn system, we'll see what they do next.

Great video. This looks like a great idea but obviously needs more work. Seems to me that it takes the same amount of effort and a repointer so I don't see a huge benefit. Wright set , the holes are not deep enough and in one dart the spigot and point just went in and didn't grip at all . I think tapered darts can stretch a little because there is less metal at the very end . So not a good ending and £30 wasted .

Great idea but like you say all barrels are different, you always come across problems fitting normal points with different width holes etc in barrels. I like it, how you have doubts about this system. What, if it breaks, than you have the same problem as with normal points. For me, it is only another expensive gimmick.
