Since you have to trim down your HSTs, why not use the lines on your cutting mat for the 10” squares?

@@wasloan8202 I’ve been told those won’t line up if I cut anything else with a different ruler as the measurements on the mats can be slightly off.

My 1st thought was that I would have switched the placement of the 2 fabrics with a black background. I later thought that the secondary pattern of a windmill would not have been as striking that way. So....I greatly prefer the way you did it!

At the start of the video when you are moving your ruler cutting the 10 inch strips, I'd like to suggest using two rulers. Use first to measure size of square then butt the second up to it. Remove the first and cut along the second. You'll get more accurate cuts plus shouldn't have to recut parts of the line.
