The trail goes on for a fair bit from where I turned around, but it was a bit muddy up there and I was solo so I played it safe.

Wow! Thanks for sharing this; I've been curious about this road for a while, since my vehicle barely has 8" ground clearance. Looks like it'd be fine as long as the trail is dry. I'm curious, though: Did you really drive all the way to the trailhead then turn around and drive down immediately? I don't think my giblets would be able to take all that bouncing on the way up without at least a brief stretch at the turnaround!
