This is by far the best vocal group I've ever heard. I've been to at least 2 live concerts and purchased a DVD or two. I could listen to this choir every day and not tire of it. Thank you to Gary Bonner and his successor for the wonderful work you are allowing the Lord to do there. And thank you to the wonderful singers and instrumentalists for your super performance!!

Easter 2024. This beautiful 15 year old concert couldn't have come at a more precious time for me. It was what my soul needed. Thank you Matt and California Baptist! In a culture in which the church has lost so much beauty in its corporate worship, it was reassuring to hear the truth proclaimed in rich harmonies, inspired lyrics and masterful musicianship. I trust Calfornia Baptist is still continuing this musical excellence to the Glory of God. Resurrection blessings.

🎵💜🎹”Somehow” this concert appeared on my U Tube feed and how thankful I am!🎶 I stopped everything as I didn’t want to just listen, but watch these beautiful students! Being reared in a Bap preacher’s home, playing piano for SS at 10 & “big church” at 14, was a huge responsibility! By age 7 I dreamed of attending a Bible college. Life didn’t go that way, but GOD brought a man w music in his soul as my husband! 45 yrs of marriage, full time ministry, pastoring 32 yrs now & we r still a team.

I had the joy and privilege to sing under Gary Bonner as a member of The Bonner Singers from fall of 2008 to Christmas of 2022, his retirement. I don't have the words to describe the musical and spiritual experience of the highest order that it has been. Thanks for everything, Doc.

My husband introduced this concert to me. As his Alzheimers progressed, he would get very agitated. I could play the video of this and it calmed him so much. So glad to have found this. We lost the recording when our DVR quit. Thank you!

Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. I have been so inspired by the songs and I thank you so much for all you have done. 'Your Love Still Amazes Me' is regularly sung at our televised 'Carols By Candlelight' on Christmas Eve and the song is such an inspiration. It's 13 years on and I pray that God is still continuing to bless and use your lives for His service. Thank you once again. God bless you all, Michael Sainsbery.

The Tenor soloist John W. Bolin was wonderful - where did he end up serving for our Lord? Never mind - he is seen in another video :In the midst of the COVID-19 quarantine of 2020, a portion of the California Baptist University Choir and Orchestra premiered this original new anthem written by John Bolin and CBU faculty member, Hector Gabriel. The song was arranged by John Bolin and orchestrated by Bradley Knight

Absolutely Beautifully done. One exception. As is often the case, Seventh-day Adventists misrepresented. The Seventh-day Sabbath is not “our” Sabbath. From Genesis to Revelation it is the Sabbath of the Lord, our God. It is a day set aside by God Himself, the Creator God. The Redeemer God. The only one of ten simple commands, that He specified “Remember”. Revelation 14 calls those who have been confused to worship the Creator.

There was a mistake in thinking they needed more make-up than normal since it was being filmed in HD. That mistake was not made in the following years, lol.

The singing is magnificent but the swaying from all over direction is too distracting for me from the initial hymn “wonderful grace of Jesus” to the rest of the choral singing. If they want to sway, sway unison!
@MattGerhard Жыл бұрын
It's part of the Bonner philosophy, like a field of wheat. It's also not unique to CBU or Bonner.
@GageTheMan Жыл бұрын
The choir and orchestra are awesome. Not so much their leader. His style is odd, insulting even. He doesn't know his choir member's names? For sure passive-aggressive asking the audience if they minded his "unusual" style. SMH
@stephengere3937 Жыл бұрын
He knows his choir's names; it's just his way of having fun and engadging with them!

He definitely knew our names. It’s all part of his “shtick” which was heavily influenced by Fred Warring.

Field Commander.....I can guarantee you that Dr. Bonner knows, not only the name of all his students in this orchestra and choir, but of all 500+ students in his department. Remember what he said in the opening of this concert that two people said they were looking forward to his humor; odd as it may seem to us. The impact this man has and continues to have on these young men and women is incalculable. Lord bless, US Cavalry Brigade Commander TO GO BE THE GLORY!
