California Capital Airshow, F-18F Super Hornet Demo

As part of the demo, the F-18F Super Hornet of West Coast Rhino Demo team performed at the California Capital Airshow. Towards the end of the show, The F-18F along with the F-8F Bearcat performed a moving legacy flight!
It's airshow season and went to my first airshow of the year at Capital Airshow in Mather Field in Sacramento, California. This was perhaps one of the best airshow ever! Due to the scheduling in order to get Frecce, this airshow which was typically in Sept was moved to July and into the evening to minimize the heat. The bit of cloud cover made it rather comfortable.

Glad you posted this. It's awesome seeing these Super Hornets. One year, I'd love to go to the California Capital Air Show.

Thanks Jeff! I definitely recommend going to the Capital Airshow when you get a chance. This airshow was one for the ages totally beyond my expectation. I thought that this airshow being in the evening would not be as good but having it in the late afternoon and twilight made it even better. There was very little gap in between in each demo and just total entertainment for the 4 hours or so.

Not nitpicking... but its an F8F Bearcat not F-9, more specifically its probably one of the G-58 Gulfhawks they mock up as an F8F-1/2.
