There isn't any better state economy than California. If you can't make it in California, you won't make it any other place. Florida is a dumpster fire. The data anyone gives you is too old to be reliable.

I'm sorry Chris, but your information does not apply to all Californians. I have a 3800 square foot split level WATERFRONT home about an hours drive from SFO. I have a beautiful view, my own double U dock with lifts and boat awnings. My house sits on a point lot at the end of my street on a cut de sac. I CANNOT trade my home for a canal front home in Deerfield Beach/Lighthouse Point that is HALF the size and 30-40 years older.for the same price. And lets say I DO buy this old tiny ass home for about $2,000,000.......You KNOW what my property taxes and home owner's insurance will be.......WAY more than what I pay in state income tax AND home insurance which is only around $3000. per year. Cost wise, Florida has cheaper gas, slightly cheaper groceries, but higher auto insurance. I'm retired and have been ready to move to Florida for the past couple of years.....but NO WAY am I forking out the extra metric shit ton of extra cash it will cost me to move there. Not yet anyways......

Money is no object to these people. What matters is they can not venture out amongst the masses and have people worshipping at their feet. If I have all the gold in the world and have it in my living room, what good is that wealth if I can’t show off because I fear for my safety. That’s why he’s coming. And sure he can hang with other wealthy people but what fun is that if he can’t have fingers pointed him with all the envy directed towards his way. It’s all about egos with them and they need that satisfied within relative safety. California does not furnish that anymore.

Florida either. Miami and now fort Myers and Naples are a dump. Full of crime. In fort Myers two weeks ago, a bank robbery with hostages, gas stations robberies at gun point. Florida is not safe anymore. By the way 7 of the dangerous cities in the nation are located in Miami, Jacksonville and Fort Pierce.
