Sorry if this may sound too honest...First and foremost I am a Latin person, Mexican-American to be more specific. I can honestly tell you this is not Mexican culture nor it defines us as such. There is no wide spread movement in Mexico to collect and fix vintage Americans cars. If there is a car that identifies Mexico it has to be the Volkswagen beetle. It was manufactured in Mexico and it widely used as taxis, family car and it was a huge success due to its efficiency and affordability. If you like low riders, that's fine and dandy, but don't make this political and try to lift bans saying its part of Mexican-American heritage because it's not! It's not OK to block out streets, jump cars in the park, take up the lanes and play loud music. It is unlawful and disrespectful. I really don't care how people spend their money, but don't annoy those who are not into what you are into. Don't get me wrong the cars are beautiful and people appreciate the hard work but don't push this as something cultural because it is not. Again I am Mexican American.

Exactly. So much is going on in NC rt now. I lived here for 15 years now. My wife born and raised. I grew up rt off Division and Highland prior. I understand the culture and I do love and respect it. But there’s so much going on rt now that this is not the time to discuss low riding in NC. They want to tax the hardworking community more on stuff and hurt us even more.
