I passed it second try, 43/45. I recommend you guys to just do the apps and practice driving tests, I didn’t pay premium for those and used only the free stuff. I didn’t read the manual at all. I noticed a couple questions keeps appearing after the second test from the first so keep that in mind. There are some required questions that always comes up like the 21 years old BAC of 0.08%, a 12 years person or older to monitor a baby, railroad crossing questions, penalties for hit and run and other punishment questions. In both tests, the questions are mainly about signs, intersections, and penalties, so study those.

I Failed the online test 3 times. I thought I was so ready. took the booklet home ,studied for 3 weeks and passed paper test in 15 minutes. the questions online were so different than the paper test. STUDY THE BOOK.

Passed in my 1st attempt. Let me share how I prepared. Study for 1-2 hours daily : Fixed appointment 1 week prior (suppose exam is on Monday) : So, on the previous Sunday read 50 pages of the handbook thoroughly and carefully. (give 2 tests from DMV Wesbite, even if you haven't completed reading the whole book) Monday: read the remaining 50 pages thoroughly. (2-3 tests from the DMV website). Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 2-3 tests each day Friday: just take a break if you want. Saturday: again 4-5 tests Sunday: read the full handbook again (this time it won't take much time) & 1-2 tests Monday: give your exam. Just stay calm and read all options carefully. Some questions are logic based so answer accordingly. Note: when you give tests, make a note of your wrong answers and revise them on the day before the exam. Hope this helps!

I know you're trying to be helpful, but this amount of study sounds similar to the drudgery of study I used and still failed a second time, finally passing on the third try. Better advice: Choose the eLearning modular process for online study and "passing" without a pass-fail test at the DMV. It takes roughly 45 minutes to go through this modular process and then you're DONE. No need to go through the unpleasant scheduling, waiting in a depressing room with hundreds of others, waiting in line to take the test, etc. A friend did in online with eLearning, finished in 45 mins and that was it. Of course, you still have to pay your fee and take the vision test at the DMV, but at least you don't have to suffer through the long study of a 90 page booklet and stress of testing. More than half of the people taking the test fail at least once, meaning they have to go back and take it again. Blah.

WOOOOOO I PASSED TODAY, The only tips that you need to pass the test are to ace such as these, study signs and that sort of stuff, and use common sense when taking the test. Don’t be scared and make sure to re read your question/answer before submitting. Good Luck to all of you!

Just passed. I remember most of the questions and I will say, the questions on the test will be slightly or quite different from the practice questions no matter what, (from DMV website or not), BUT this video does a REALLY great job at training you in the logic of the questions and driving overall. That logic and familiarity that this practice test builds up helps a lot. I do recommend watching this video at least 2-3 times throughout a week or two.

Passed on my 3rd attempt. I got forced into reading the book. Children younger than 8 years old or who are shorter than 4 feet 9 inches tall require a rear facing child restraint system. Children who are at least 8 years old or at least 4 feet 9 inches tall can use a properly secured safety belt. You're welcome.

Just took the written test today and passed. As others have said, most of the questions here did not appear in the actual test. But this is very helpful as you would be able to think logically. I took this sample test 3 days before the exam and I was able to review those items which helped me in the actual exam. Took this sample again yesterday and I got them all correct. It would also be helpful to take the other tests in this channel (signalling, road markings and headlights) as these topics are also included in the actual test. Best tip is to read the HANDBOOK! I got 3 mistakes and when I reviewed them, they were all in the handbook ❤

Thank you for the help I just passed my renewal test today. Only thing you’re missing here is anyone over 21 years old driving illegal when 0.08 BAC Tested. Fine for abandoning animal $1,000 Fleeing from a fatal accident is penalized with state prison for up to 7 years. It’s legal to leave a child in a car with another kid 12 years or older. Before making right turn look over shoulder, check for cyclist , get into bike lane no more than 200 feet.

@@oceanrocks hi. best of luck on your exam. 😊 there's only one question about the bac when i took the test. it asked if it's illegal for you to drive if you have a BAC of 0.08% or higher if you are over 21 years old. i wasn't able to memorize the table, i just read it once. i suggest for those info to be read for a week or two. i only memorized these info in the ca dmv manual : It is illegal for you to drive if you have a BAC of: • 0.08% or higher if you are over 21 years old. • 0.01% or higher if you are under 21 years old. • 0.01% or higher at any age if you are on DUI probation. • 0.04% or higher if you drive a vehicle that requires a commercial driver’s license. • 0.04% or higher if you are driving a passenger for hire.

Your test questions are really good and sound. Here is some of the advice you may want from the older generation drivers. Waiting for the DMV to rectify a problem on the test with a wrong answer they claimed was right, when the Manual said they were absolutely wrong, and another website doing similar tests in English and Spanish agree with me. The braking distance of a truck (no description so that leaves it up to the imagination) was claimed to be 800 feet on the test... the Manual states 400. The supervisor said he and his staff have no power to change the score even when they are dead wrong. When taking the tests, go slow... you can take as much time as you need.. If you are going to guess at a question, stop, skip the question, and move on- that goes for any one of them. Common sense is the key, especially if you are 3/4 century young. Look carefully at the wording, picture the entire situation in the question as if you were in that picture, then, it will be more obvious most of the time. Also, make sure you read the manual about the requirements for child safety related to age, weight, size... DMV doesn't give a damn if you don't have kids, are married without kids, and most of your kin are muerto.. just saying.... and most videos do not cover that topic very well... Child restraints are covered on Page 69 and 70 of the manual--- fairly simple... Good luck... don't forget to take deep breaths if you are prone to anxiety, stop doing the test for a minute and close your eyes and say a pray, stay hydrated, and don't OD on the caffeine. You don't want to be flying at 60K feet, when you function best at 30K.

I studied like mad for a month including taking 50-60 online practice tests (including the DMV practice tests) and reviewing the handbook info on flashcards. The last week before the test, I passed scores of tests usually getting 100%. However, I failed the actual test within 2 minutes because it is VERY DIFFERENT from any online or app tests. It asks many esoteric and also convoluted questions (several parts to a question). The actual test asks a large number of questions about points-of-law (e.g. what is the penalty of prison time for a person who flees an accident where a person is injured). I often thought, "What cookamemie questions." But, that's California. I complained to the DMV person that their online tests are NOTHING like the actual test. She acknowledged this as true. But it is a waste of time to complain. I want to reiterate that these video questions are appropriate, good and make sense. I could easily pass these questions with a 100% accuracy score--no problem. However, over 50% of the actual test has nothing to do with these logical and appropriate questions.

It is wonderful you're making this available to the public online. While passing the test is a necessary goal, avoiding accidents is even more important. I've had so many close calls with people entering a bicycle lane prior to the breaks in the line to make a right turn. Here I am entering the bike lane through the broken line, and a car is already on the bike lane behind me about to hit me. The worse part is the driver is so indignant. He really thought he was right. One chased me into the freeway giving me a one finger peace sign. I wrote to the DMV suggesting they make this a priority lesson because I noticed so many driver's are ignorant of it, but never got a reply.

Well doesnt it say on the drivers handbook that you could enter the bike lane 200 ft prior when wanting to make a right turn Cause often times if u wait til the breaks in the bike lane u could possibly be slowing down traffic cause ur slowing ur vehicle and it could result in a critical error thats from what ive seen in all the driving exams footage of actual students and the instructors advised them to enter the bike lane 200ft prior to turning right

Just passed my Drivers License renewal test in 1st try. Felt like there were only about 20 questions fairly easy. The dmv test words the test differently. I think if you can choose the most safest answer you’ll be fine. The ones I missed weren’t on any of the videos on here regarding airbags and how far you should be positioned and another question I remember was a speed limit question.. Thanks I was dreading the test and some were kind of tricky.

I passed on my 1st try! I used this and a few other videos to help and also DMV Genie! strongly STRONGLY recommend it. I didn’t study all of it so the ones I got wrong were the ones I didn’t practice. Use the free tests all of them and a few days before use the free trail to re take them ! And use it as a good practice if you’re waiting to go in. Good luck everyone I turn now (7 lanes) lol kidding but good luck to everyone!!

01/23/24 I took my 1st written test today, I didn’t pass, and then I tried for the second time on the same day and then I passed! I’m on my 30’s btw 😆 I’m so happy but my head hurts a lot because of the questions! lol 😣 Thank God! Happy to have bumped into this channel. I finally passed my written test.. My 1st was taken Sept 13, 2023.. I procrastinated and thought of making a move before the 2 other tries expire, unfortunately, i was told to make a new application and pay $45 since if i pass the written exam today, there wont be enough time to do the befind the wheel since it should be done soon.. Anyways, its ok bec i passed. Thanks for sharing these vids. These helped me alot.. I studied religiously for a good 3days.. Tbh, i thought i didnt pass because i lost count of my errors but there are a lot of questions here that were asked like abt the .08 bac, children 6 y/o and younger should be accompanied/supervised by atleast a 12y/o, what are white curbs for, school bus flashing red light when can a vehicle pass, what does a yield sign mean, etc. If I can do it, so can you. 🙏💕

Just passed it on my first attempt although i did study on a app with practice tests before i came watches thw video right before taking the exam. Some if these questions are definitely in there but id say about little less than half so dont be surprised when you see more than these questions . Although this vidoe does do a good job to more or less dictate the logic used on how you should answer the other questions. GOODLUCK AND REMEMBER TO NOT OVERTHINK !!!

Thanks for this wonderful tip. I just got my license though but I didn't take the test. I failed thrice when I tried taking the test because I have always been a nervous person and because of that I had to enquire about the DMV test drive until I was told to hire a licensed test drive specialist who helped me in getting my license, I on the other hand thought I was gonna get a provisional license since I wasn't taking the test but to my greatest surprise I got a Class D license.

Kia, you sound like a nice and honest person, so forgive me for saying the following, but it is true. (Since you're commenting on a CA DMV written Test video, I assume that you live in CA.) What compelled you to tell the world that your dumb and unfit to drive? Driving is a privilege, not a right. Not everyone is meant to be 'behind the wheel'. Many things that you said just don't make sense. 1. Everyone has to take and pass the 'written test'. (So, how did you get a license, '... but I didn't take the test'?) (How did you fail thrice taking the test, '... but I didn't take the test.') 2. Were you referring to the written test administered by the DMV or the 'test in this video only'? 3. Being a 'nervous person' = being a 'nervous driver'. Nervous drivers are a danger to others on the road, because they have difficulty coping with stress. If someone honks their horn at you, do you 'freak out'? Ask yourself, 'What did I do to deserve such a warning?' Driving is stressful, since other drivers do stupid and inconsiderate things like 'not signalling turns/lane changes'; 'making unsafe lane changes'; 'text or talk on their phones while driving'; 'drive too slow and leave huge gaps/space between them and the vehicle ahead, which causes traffic behind them to catch-up and/or seemingly tailgate (and the slowpoke responds by 'brake checking', instead of simply going faster, closing the gap, or obeying the rule, i.e, slower traffic moves to the right). Do you experience other vehicles going around you frequently? 4. Hiring a 'pvt. driving instructor' as a tutor is a good idea when you need help to pass a test. But, your learning doesn't stop after that. Safe driving is a skill and there's room for improvement. Learning and understanding the 'rules of the road', plus behind the wheel experience leads to confidence. When you become a confident driver, the nervousness should diminish. 5. What is a 'Class D' license? (For California) The most common or basic license is Class C.

I have not taken a written test, and I can't remember how many years. I'm 73 years old and haven't a moving violation or tickets. Apparently the people at the DMV when they go to renew new my driver's license, they always huddle over their computer and go ooh and Ah yes, no tickets all those years. I'm looking forward to taking another one and this video is quite helpful to some questions. I've never seen before. Great video. Recommendation: after slowly reading the 3 options for the listener (like you do), then just say: the answer is A (and colorize the answer) instead of reading the correct answer. (because you actually say: the correct answer is OPTON A and read the answer, and colorize the answer) I really enjoyed REVIEWING the material, and IF I STOP listening, it is only because the PACE is slow. Help us. We like the material.

I've failed the test 4 times. I've studied multiple times, and I've come to realize that the questions on the test are different than the questions on any practice test. EDIT: I am in California. I have 46 questions while other states have 20-25.

I’ve come to realize that no matter how many practice tests you take, none of them are actually the right questions except for the pamphlet you can pick up from the DMV. Unfortunately as of 2023, they have removed the practice questions from the back of the book.

i took my test while ago and this video did help but what did help me a lot was practice test and just doing them over and over and test like these on youtube’s just going back and forth and i did not pass my first time bc i was really nervous and i did it on computer and it was the worst bc you feel rushed and can’t go and look back and it tell rights away when you get wrong and it just freaked me out and the paper one was so much better and you could take time and look back it and i did that my 2nd time and passed

The Southern California DMV should be open 7 days a week 8am -- 9pm to take care of all of the drivers. There are vacant buildings in Southern California that could be refurbished into CA DMV offices. The California state government simply needs to allocate funds to hire more DMV employees and create more DMV offices.

@@dianagon7657 California,La! i read the handbook from beginning to end.. the total hours i spent on the book is 30hrs then i watched videos (make sure you put your state then Dmv permit test) did that for 2hrs each day.. then i took practice test online! don’t doubt yourself i believe you will pass and trust your gut bc the questions make you doubt yourself
