The id verify process takes FOREVER. I've been dealing with it since Oct 2020 and the system only let me certify thru Nov 21 2020. The FIRST time I appealed it took 3 weeks and it was denied. No hearing. No money. 2nd appeal mailed off and it's been two weeks and i am awaiting decision. I involved my assembly persons rep with GREAT success. She's got a direct link to edd and has been really responsive. The EDD is broken and has absurdly poor leadership. It is truly heartbreaking to see all the stories of people who are being effed. I hope we all get our claims paid Asap

@Ripple me this 2021 im not sure. If your last certification was on the 26th then u probably don't certify again until the 9th of January. My last certification was on the 19th of december. I had also certified the week before that which was 2 weeks of benefits. and I was not paid for the week ending on 26th nor did I certify for the week ending on the 26th. But when I certify tomorrow it will update and show I was paid for that week as well as this week too.. And I should receive both weeks pay ( including the boost) on Monday

Again, you said last Monday, so I hope edd has updated their system to expedite the process since the letter went out on 12/31. I knew edd didn’t have the money to pay out people, so having people verify id is just their way of buying time until dol can send them money to pay out everybody. Anyways, I’m getting a big fat check regardless.

Thanks Shelly, I've been going through this identity verification thing for 3 months now. I had to end up asking for a hearing. Yesterday I got my appeals letter saying I won. I sent in proof to appeals that I did upload my docs and after 4 weeks of waiting for an answer, I finally won.

That is just an excuse to delay. They screwed something up or someone higher up is trying to cover up a fraud they committed. I can understand it may take a while to verify identity but even giving you the instruction takes 5 or 6 days? How hard is it to send someone the instructions right away. Regarding I.D. VERIFICATION. I hit the New Claim button & it ask me to verify my I.D. either by phone call or driver license ( front & back ) or text message. The process takes 5 minutes. I received a message that my I.D. VERIFICATION was COMPLETE!

It is just an excuse for them to delay for whatever reason. Maybe fraud occurred and someone up on top of the food chain stole some money and can't pay out yet. The delay is until more funds are available to pay out. If it's not, it's pretty incompetent of EDD and heads need to start to roll. I'm not surprised at either cases. Look at the incompetent of those in office, starting with the POTUS.

They were supposed to start sending paper checks this past Wednesday. You said your bank info has changed though right? So, it will take a minute for it to be declined then have the check cut and sent. They are trying to get all the checks sent by January 15th.

No but it might just be that they are updating their system everyone here in CA got the message that our claim was expired and we had maximum benefits paid but now our unemployment office is working on updating the system now that the programs got extended past 12/26.

Hi Shelly.. My claim for PEUC ended 12/19 and n/a for certification after. It is noted that I have to wait after 1/3 to check if I have available weeks to certify .

@@Justin-yq2mj yes. I have my BOA card set up to automatically transfer my EDD funds to my credit Union immediately. I think they were checking identifications closely with our initial UI claims, but then got slammed with a ton of claims a few months ago and things got out of control. I think we will be okay (fingers crossed) because we applied way early on... before these ID problems started. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Update‼️‼️ i uploaded my documents today I didn’t have my current address on my DL. The edd representative stated to change my address online since the edd are going to verify it with the dmv system. She also said it can take up to 4 to 8 weeks however she spoke to someone today that it only took a few days to get verified.

I had an appointment to be called on Saturday between the hours of 10 AM - 12 PM. So I was by my phone for 2.5 hours waiting for the call. The bastards didnt call till 2:35 PM right when I was in the bathroom. They only call once and no message left. I called EDD this morning ,I’m located in Orange California. I called around 10 AM and it took about an hour for a representative to get on the line with me,but I asked him to send Me an ID verification link to my EDD account. Which he did, and I received within 10 minutes after getting off the phone with him. I submitted my identification information just about an hour ago.

@S Cast Hi, they ask you for 2 forms of ID but you can add up to 5. It gives you lots of options like ID / Drivers License, social security, lease for your home, a bill ,birth certificate, there's other options i cant quite remember but you pretty much pick which ever ones you have. I inputed my Drivers license my lease and my birth certificate.
