It looks like the predecessor of the AB/TSC-107 Quick Reaction Package. I used that van in the 1980s. Nice setup!

Wow! That looks like the distant cousin to the AN/TRQ-32(V2) I operated in southern Germany and in the Gulf during Desert Shield / Desert Storm. Thanks for sharing!

I'm impressed with what you've done with the surplus commo shelter. You definitely have some skills with installing all of that different equipment. Do you have to have a seperate generator to run this entire thing? Dumb question, but I noticed the shelter and you didnt go over it. These shelters go between $2,000-$8,000. For a good undamaged one you'll be paying a pretty penny. They're supposes to be EMP proof too if still in good condition. I was thinking of buying an M35A2, M1079 van or an M931A2 truck and having this or the cargo shell on it and put in commo equipment and one of those folding litter beds from an army ambulance hummer. Install a ham radio, satellite tv, GPS and maybe internet connection. Oh and also a color/infrared security camera for SHTF scenarios too keep up with what's going on in the outside world. Or camping. Might be overkill, but I wouldn't be traveling much anyway and it'd be great to bug out in and take to shows until SHTF. You could also add the blackout lights if you have night vision goggles too. The spotlight versions since these surplus trucks should come with blackout drive anyway.

Was 05F. My shelter housed a Mobile, 5kw Rado Teletype system during the Cold War. Was stationed in Ludwigsburg W. Germany.

Back in 76 the Canadian army used those shelters in the back of there 76 Chevrolet 5/4 ton then when they quit using the 76 chevy 5/4 ton in 1996 then they where sold to regular people. Those are common in American forces also

is there anything still around to transmit to that old teletype? glad to see that he was able to get a working generator with the compatible power cord. he'd probably be better off having it mounted on a Deuce and a Half or a 931A2 dropside to help carry the fuel for the generator in emergency situations. too many questions to ask here.
