@@SeaTurtle515 Oh yes, I saw huge patches of poppies and lupine when I drove across the state just north of San Luis Obispo. It’s was the first time I had ever seen this much. It’s also starting to really fill out in the Bay Area. Even Oceanside there are a lot more flowers. I am kind of interested in what will happen in the Mendocino area as they have been replanting native species along the costal trails for years. There are varieties of poppies that just are lovely. Nothing beats standing near a tree in blossom listing to all the different bees.

His shows are all archived at Chapman University's Huell Howser website. He donated his entire library to Chapman before his death. I binge-watched 100s of his episodes and it rekindled my affinity for my native state. Unfortunately the body politic in CA is suffering from a collective epidemic of cranial rectosis, otherwise I'd move back. I miss it.

Thank you Lee for always keeping it real & prioritizing education. I watch your channel &!others because it sickens & angers me to hear about any cruelty or neglect to any animals. I can only imagine the courage it must take to persevere in the work you do every day. I know you show such a small percent of the negative aspects you witness. I’m so grateful you are a an uncompromising advocate for animals & im so grateful for all the positive stories you show. It doesn’t mean there isn’t horrible cruelty, apathy & people suffering who are so sick they take it out on others. I wish it were otherwise. In the meantime, thanks for all that you, your staff, & your animal rescue peers do everyday both behind & on camera.

I lived in California for over 35 years moving out in 2019. The flowers on the hill sides are beautiful, but every year when this happens, people on the highways, just pull over on the shoulder and walk up into the hills. It creates such a back-up on the freeways that it’s impossible to even get home. Sometimes, the back up is over 10 miles long. These people that pull over are just so incredibly inconsiderate.
