Before WW2 California made a lot of money from growing oranges and orther argracultral prodects, ever since when I was a kid in the 1960's-early 1970's CA grew alor of argracultral products, including now, rice as 2024, and until about 30 years ago, yes, oranges. We used to have commercials here. pushing CA orange Juice, you know like the the FLA orange commercials now. Until CA built cheap tract houses, paved over everything to have mimi-malls and not so cheap burger joints, that aren't cheap. No BS
